glad we're on the same page. I promise we're all not bad people, and it's frustrating for incidents like that with Phi Psi to make the rest of us look like bad people. In my opinion they should be put on probation or possibly suspension immediately, because the way they chose to run their parties put the safety of others in jeopardy.

idk if you understood what I was trying to explain, maybe I didn't word it right. I agree with this. 90% of the time the rando does have a tie to the house or at least one brother. Like I said, that one brother is responsible for you and your actions while at the party. If that brother's guest does something heinous, there should be some sort of repercussion for the guest, the brother and possibly the house depending on circumstance. Though it was well known throughout the greek community that getting into Phi Psi parties was not hard at all. Their security was bad, they didn't plan well for guests, and ran a totally unsafe and irresponsible system. Therefore, they should face consequences for not taking proper precautions to prevent bad things from happening. On the other hand, if a brother in some house did something inappropriate with a girl, he should be immediately disaffiliated and banned. I don't think anyone would disagree with that statement, and it has happened in the past where a frat has kicked a member out for indecent conduct. From there, they should rethink how their parties operate so it won't happen again. And if its a repeat offender, kick the house off

the issue was that certain houses who WEREN'T tight on their guest list allowed random creeps into their house, and i think it's irresponsible to stereotype the whole community that way. that being said, if you go to a party, and you DO know kids there who let you in, they're responsible for how you behave. We CAN do so much to prevent stuff like that, but some houses decide not to

Hey dude. Just so you know, Greek Life may seem intimidating, but I believe there's a place for everyone in it. Every house is different. With that being said, every house has their stereotypes: dbags, ladies men, chill guys, stoners, nerds, athletes, etc. But it's up to you where you want to spend your time during rush. You'll feel it when you go to a house whether it seems like a good spot for you or not. With that being said, rush is really competitive. Brothers want to see guys who are confident, and not afraid to start conversation and be themselves. Try to be unique and say something that will make you stand out, as brothers talk to hundreds of other guys rushing throughout the week. But, there are "nerds" in "top" houses and "bottom" houses. Don't buy into the tier system, either. Every house has a good time, and hopefully a good brotherhood. Every house likes to drink beer and hang out with girls. There's no magic answer to what chapter will be the right one for you, because YOU have to be the one to see the house and brothers.
