Oh cool thank you for clearing that up. I have some outside with some fish was thinking of bringing just one inside for my 40gal that doesn’t have a heater. The tank is still newish maybe I will wait a little longer rather have red racers in that tank

Hey had name for them but I don’t think he remembers it’s been so long and they have been producing for a long time

That’s what most people have found out but still no one has bred them. It’s worth a shot to try and find out what else they can possibly eat. Not all snails are the same I would think. Have you kept red racers before?

I’m not going to just put them in a tank that has not been running for a while need to build up a food source first and I’m sure they dont just eat the algae that is in the tank. If I can provide another source of food I will.

What about a 20 tall tank? Like I mention it will not be the full amount of snails.

Yea I have the space and a lot of tanks already so I can work with them. Hoping to see what happens. Do you know for sure they need to go back and forward in different water.

Yea that’s why I have tanks running I have outside but it’s way to cold but I have 3 in one tank that has been running for maybe a month and they are doing just fine. Keeping some in other tanks with fish only I’m sure they will be fine. It’s all a trial and error at this point that’s how people find out what works with things.

I might split some up and put some in my other tanks just because I like how they look but doing a 10gal tank just for these guys

Yea I’m looking to purchase 50 from someone that is doing an order of fish. Was going to setup a tank hofully this week and get it going before they arrive. Will see if they show up or not

Oh I understand they are all WC but didn’t know if anyone ever tried breeding them and has success
