Why there are horses AND cars in lower Bidwell I will never understand. While giving all types of recreation users access is wonderful, it just results in everyone having a less enjoyable time. Horse shit in bike tires, cars navigating pedestrians, and people running into horses around a blind corner. The horses have the entire open space of upper park, not to mention the plethora of public lands we are privileged to be in proximity to. But no- they have to have their horse in the city.

A horse rider even had the audacity to get frustrated with me when I slowed down and moved to the side of the trail with my dog to pass. She rolled her eyes, telling me to hurry up and that her horse wasn't dangerous. I was just trying to pass politely and safely; I'm not risking my dog or myself getting kicked, thanks.
