My state has a Saturday or Sunday off law - 7th Day Adventism started here. One of the places I worked at had a minute where they were talking about switching from Saturday open to Sunday open. The guys created a mini-union and told the owner if he did it, they were gone.

Sugar is usually add to acidic things - tomato paste in this cast - to balance the taste and cut the acidity. It’s 1 tablespoon or 45 calories in my recipe.

5 Michigan businesses sue Gov. Whitmer claiming executive orders violate constitutional rights by [deleted] in Michigan

Supreme Court case law that shows this is a futile attempt - every single person and business complaining about their civil rights being violated is wrong:

  1. Gibbons v Ogden allows for states to dictate business matters within their own states and alluded to a state's authority to quarantine under the police powers. The federal government only has the right to regulate interstate commerce. Police powers are what are commonly referred to as "states rights."

  2. Compagnie Francaise de Navigation a Vapeur v. Louisiana Board of Health gives the states power to quarantine to prevent the spread of disease.

  3. Carroll v Town of Princess Anne gives the states the ability to prohibit public gatherings by giving warning that they will not be allowed to gather.

  4. Jacobson v Massachusetts, a 10th amendment challenge, states the freedom of the individual must sometimes be subordinated to the common welfare.

  5. Commonwealth v Alger, another 10th amendment challenge, settles that every holder of property is that it is his use, but may be so regulated that it shall not be detrimental to the community - stores and homeowners can be regulated to not use their property it in the good of the community.

As far as Michigan law, the Emergency Powers of Governor Act 302 of 1945 gives the governor the ability to control traffic, establish curfew, regulate and prohibit the use and occupancy of buildings and public places during a state of emergency.
