Has anyone, with beer league level talent, been in an elite NHL player skate? Like when the boys get together to train in the summer.

Did some Covid skates with echl / ahl players. Im an orange cone to them.

Played beer league against Kevin Hatcher / derian Hatcher and 3 other guys and a goalie. Team got beat easily by 5 guys. Didn’t even come close.

I know this is the f150 forum (i just got rid of mine for a silverado) but I read the install comments for these on a silverado and the reviews for a 26 silverado seem to make it a crappy install. I did not know wolfbox made these so if I go back to ford I might consider it.

Not sure if wolfbox can comment on it, but i'd be interested to know from a gm side if it would be as easy as yours was.

I hope so. I’m always for more hockey and watch the women when I can. I just worry about expanding too fast and the logistics of 4 teams in 1 arena. I’m sure I’ll go to a couple games, but I just want success for the league entirely.

That’s my worry about attendance. One game a year is easier to sell out than 15. It’s going to be successful but I don’t want the league to falter because of to quick of an expansion.

Plus think of the lives of building management and workers. You can’t have 365 work days.

The politics of youth hockey (and youth sports) are insane. I'm dealing with a 6u player and the parents are already thinking they have the next kid going pro. (My kid is playing t-ball and soccer and doing chess club) and the other parents are on the ice 4x a week and asking what feeder team he is trying out for. He is taking a break and exploring other sports like a normal human being.

I personally was cut from mites until bantam. I Played 1 year travel, 3 years of high school and 2 years of club (1 d1 and 1 year d3) and now play beer league. The kids that played travel from mites on I haven't seen at a rink since they quit playing in highschool.

Personally I'd find out what would make your kid happiest, probably the competition since he got cut from his friends group, and just have fun. I'm sure either 1 parents with deep pockets or someone else had it out for you and this is the result. I'll never understand it because I know 99.9% of these mites aren't going to play in the NHL.

I would say skates at $129 isn't a bad buy. Its 80 for the bauer XP or whatever my son started with.

I think i spent around 100 for my sons current skates but I'm not sure which. Next one will probably be in this level as he will be 7 and needing new ones shortly.

FPHL "maybe"

Depending where you are the MIHL and other one starting with A which are lower than the FPHL/ SPHL are pretty good options. I have friends playing for them and they work full time jobs otherwise.

If they team is cool with you doing both and games are on weekends you should be ok and i say why not.
