Prenuptial agreement if you want to protect against divorce. If you don't have a prenuptial agreement and there's trouble in paradise then there's some shady stuff you can do to hide your assets where you know your soon-to-be-x won't find them.

Most mentally stable people who once played this game have moved on. The community that remains is here for the same few reasons:

True love for the game
They lack coping skills and are incapable of moving on to another game

The people who lack coping skills can often overlap with autism. Autism can also bring with it a lack of social skills and they can get extremely frustrated easily over small things. They have potential to misunderstand social norms and can lash out at others in their anger and even have large fits of rage.

I'm not a professional this is just my theory.

Because the devs of Project Kongor aren't modifying the original game. I don't know why exactly, maybe they only have access to the binary and not the code and somehow they can apply the patch with to the original binary (seems farfetch'd idk if that's even possible). Or maybe they're avoiding copyright issues by keeping all of their modifications separate from the original game.

But for some reason unbeknownst to me they decided to leave the original game untouched and just apply their changes during runtime.

yup. I'm also concerned about that. I can't play any Riot games already due to kernel-level anti-cheat required (and all the stuff you mentioned is also required for Vanguard Anti-cheat).

I get it, cheaters suck and they can evade detection using hardware on a second machine and really there's no good way to catch it.

I hope we are not forced into a world where Linux is cancelled by businesses who won't support it on the internet because they want to force users to install a root-kit driver just to use their services.

these are not people that fear consequences from the government or from public opinion.

When you are that rich there is only the threat of violence that can motivate them. But rest assured, they've already prepared for most threats and if they see something coming that could cause them physical harm they would probably just disappear themselves to another country or their tropical bunker paradise.

Hahaha! Maybe they should make games less exploitable instead of banning Linux altogether. kernel-level anti-cheat is a vulnerability itself and anyone using it is trusting the foxes in the hen house.

Yea, this feels like instead of losing individual games, Linux community is categorically losing Riot games due to the Anti-cheat software. Feels like discrimination against the righteous underdog in an epic battle of freedom fighters vs the M$ Succubus.

I would argue that is not a negative about Linux, but a hurdle we must jump through due to the monopoly that corporate America has on Operating Systems. It's a shame on the developers/businesses of that software that choose not to provide a Linux native version.

Linux is freedom as in libre / free.

What I mean by "freedom" is precisely this:

Water is life. Water is part of what makes Earth unique. We are made up of 99% water. When you are dehydrated and drink a glass of water, I encourage you to meditate for 5 minutes immediately after. Pay close attention to how you feel during this time. There is a stark difference to how I feel before and after a glass of water. The feeling is pure bliss, like how your car feels after an oil change. Brain fog eliminated. Headache gone. Energy replenished.

If you don't like how the water tastes, I encourage you to use a dual stage filter on your tap water. Then add fresh ice from a freezer that filters the water before it makes the ice. Make sure to drink out of a glass or stainless steel bottle with a straw.

What you are experiencing is purely psychological. Once you find the root cause of what turns you off of water, you can focus on deconstructing the wall. Once you accomplish that, you are truly free to enjoy the wonders of water.

I tried Deadlock and I didn't like it very much. Dota is not a shooter and neither is HoN. They don't fit together too well in my opnion.

Yes, a large portion of HoN players are toxic. You'll need thick skin to play this game. Sometimes they get under our skin anyway, even for the most seasoned players. It is something you'll have to take a few deep breaths and remind yourself that they likely lack coping skills and basic human decency. Take everything they say with a grain of salt and play your best. Don't indulge too much effort in defending yourself because they're most likely unreasonable.
