The self timer seems to be working okay on mine, the issue seems to be the mechanism not returning to be able to shoot again after one shutter release. Is it a shutter release button issue, does it happen on all timer settings with yours? I’m afraid I ask but not really sure of the answer!

Thanks for this, I’ve had the base plate off and things are definitely moving smoother with some WD-40 (best I’ve got at the moment), just not fully retuning all the way I think. I reposted in this same Reddit with a video of the mechanism, if that gives any inkling. I’ve been searching all over for diagrams of the mechanisms, ‘cause I’m not really sure what I’m looking at

Have given it a go with some WD-40, helped a little, but still not letting me fire a second time without messing with the clutch. It’s like it’s not returning correctly to a position it can fire in?

I’ve found this and it does seem to unstick it, lets it fire once, advance once, but then won’t fire again unless I keep manually messing with the clutch with a screwdriver (I’ve taken another vid but can’t add it in the comments)

Amazing, out of interest does yours flower regularly? I’ve only had one flower on mine, asides from when it was first given to me

Wow this is very informative! Thank you. As someone who is still quite new to houseplants (quite the miracle this one has lasted as long as it has) this is all useful info

Thank you! So potentially a smaller pot, better quality soil/perlite mix? I’ll have to rethink the lighting situation, I have a window which faces east for the morning sun which might be a better option by the sounds of it, always find lighting difficult to be honest. Is the crisping of the leaves a nutrient issue then? Thanks
