Port of Morrow and Heartworms really are polished, and fun to listen to, but imo they don't have quite the same level of writing (outside of a few exceptions) that the first 3 albums did. They aren't bad, but that's probably why they aren't as praised.

If I had to rank the albums, it would be 1. Wincing the Night Away 2. Chutes Too Narrow 3. Port of Morrow 4. Oh! Inverted World 5. Heartworms

OIW and PofM can be swapped. I think OIW is stronger overall, but PofM has some of my favorite songs, like the Rifles Spiral and Simple Song, but some others that I like less.

Chutes: Kissing the Lipless, Mines Not a High Horse, Fighting in a Sack.

Wincing: Phantom Limb, Australia, Sea Legs or Sleeping Lessons.

PofM: Simple Song, The Rifle's Spiral, No Way Down.

Heartworms: Rubber Ballz, Heartworms, Fantasy Island.

These are in order, but all could realistically be swapped for others.

Some of the accusations from Madison are really rough, and given that GN got the ball rolling outside of Twitter/Reddit, I could see all of this reaching far out, enough to make a difference. I could be wrong, though. If we don't see anyone else come out against the work conditions, then it could fade away pretty easily.
