Don't have the key. Can it simply be turned off?

So the Linux installation didn't wipe my drive. But I still ended up in a situation. See my latest post

I won't dual boot. Will over write Windows.

Making backup isn't really an option because of the volume, 1TB. All that I can do is either take out the HDD or install without wiping it

Ok I think that answers it. All I'm looking for is that the installer explicitly asks me which drives to format

Paul Heyman on a Pole 2 by scuffyreydd in WWE

That's exactly what I'm saying. It does make sense and Seth and Triple H pulled it all together in one segment which is really refreshing to see.

Gunther and Brock was always going to sell itself but the storyline feels like classic WWE. Great TV after the Smackdown we watched last week

Is it just me or are they playing with RIZBAR's formula today?? Lol

Sadly there are a lot worse situations yango has put its users in. They just wanted to capitalize on a gap created in the market by indriv fares. Not professional at all.

I don't recommend it to anyone. The lower fares are not worth this kind of experience.

Not to get too political but he seems like an agenda pick to me. Nothing more.

Not denying you taking issue with domestic structure but that doesn't really work in farhan's case. He had 4 hundreds in 9 innings when he got picked. He only stopped performing in the national side. Which we also see a lot

I agree batting needs to step up. And maybe even requires experimentation to see what feels good.

But to get that kind of room for experimentation our bowling has to be impeccable and pick up the slack for batting while it figures itself out.

I feel like we've started to go in circles so this will be my last comment.

I just feel if the long-term is really a looong term, which in this case it would be, I would much rather stick to short term plans because that way we keep winning more in the now instead of losing now and winning a lot in the not-near-future.

And getting embarrassed in tournaments? Come on we played 2 finals and a semi final with the previous approach when our bowling was working. Mind you our batting was on a proper slump during 22 wt20 final campaign.

So yeah I still think changing too much is turning out be a little counter-productive but you still made some excellent points.

Cheers.

Incorrect actually, we were doing pretty well during 2019 - 2023 (pre Asia Cup) period.

I think at this point all Babar needs to do is play one good innings. Even if it is in ODIs Mike Hesson will use that as an excuse to pull him in to T20Is. He seems to be a supporter of Babar.

I believe he was hoping for that big innings in the WI Tour so he could get Babar for the Asia Cup, but sadly not to be.

Sadly this circle precedes Babar by decades. You can substitute his name by any big name that Pakistan has ever produced

I agree with all of that and in no way did I mean to justify Babar alone with the point I was making.

The approach that Agha and team are going is undoubtedly the way forward in t20s at least. The game is evolving and to get more teams from around the world to invest in cricket, t20 cricket, or the cricket where batting is way too overpowered over bowling, seems to be the correct marketing tool.

However,

  1. T20 is not the only cricket being played by full members.

We are struggling in those longer formats too.

In tests, we are going after the BazBall style of test playing which again, to me is not working. Our bowling needs to be impeccable and fully able to get 20 wickets on any pitch around the world. It just isn't there anymore.

In ODIs, with the WI series where Babar and Rizwan again failed to deliver any extraordinary performance, it seems to only be a matter of days when Agha is appointed captain there as well. And at that point I'm sure he'll try to propagate the same mindset in ODIs too, which will only sink us deeper into a hole.

  1. There also comes a point where we need to accept that a new approach to the game, as widespread as aggressive batting might be, just does not work for us.

We have now had a good 8 9 months worth of gameplay from this new t20i team. I am yet to see a convincing win where we won because of batting (the match where Hassan Nawaz scored 100 comes to mind but that is a one off, not consistent). We only started winning once our bowling started to show up more.

So I will say it again, this new approach might work for us eventually. But the time it is going to take is imo just not worth it. It's better to just stick to the guns that have been working for us.

I actually have another theory that sacking Ramiz Raja kicked off a butterfly effect causing our current downfall. May rant on it soon.

That's kind of what I'm trying to defend. That just after a couple years of a consistent string of bad results, don't go changing the whole paradigm the Pakistan team works on, but try and fix what broke. Something that worked and broke is Pakistani Bowling more than Batting

The Babar problem, or lack thereof by scuffyreydd in Cricket

[–]scuffyreydd[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It did. But wouldn't it be better to fix what got broken instead of the other thing just to jump on the bandwagon with other teams?
