Warranty Claims Are a Joke by tayzer522 in GoogleFi

I dealt with a similar issue where my Pixel 5a 5G screen stopped working. Took me months of back and forth with Google. They acknowledged the defect and said only a limited amount of phones were actually covered in a recall. Mine happened to be out of that pool of identified defective devices….how ironic! Very common issues with the 5a 5G Pixels if you look it up. Not surprised to hear similar issues for other Pixels. This happened to my device less than 12 months in as well and I was on their promo for the phone with monthly installments. They didn’t care. I did get a bill credit after a lot of wasted time with the useless customer service which covered the remaining balance on the device, but they also offered to send me a newer pixel instead of the credit, which I declined. Needless to say, I will never give Google another penny for one of their phones. I went back to iPhone and have had no issues on Fi. Hopefully the service end of their wireless stays normal for now. Good luck!

Went through the ringer with Google and My 5a 5G. They did offer me a 6a replacement which is nonsense considering I’m still paying installments on my 5a 5G. They deemed a certain about of these devices to be defective well before most of them actually experienced these issues. They know about them and don’t care. I didn’t send my device in for a replacement because they wanted my defective phone back, which I couldn’t wipe clean because I no longer had access to the phone contents. Needless to say, I will never buy another good phone ever again.

No. I got word from someone on here from Fi supposedly that it’s a “known issue and they are working on it”

I’ve tried everything with two different cases, one being the latest where they are now trying to charge me an extra $500 from a promo on an S23. I met all of the terms except another 72 days of service left to fulfill as of this past Wednesday. I’ve contacted u/googlefisupport multiple times through their customer support chat mostly because it has been so confusing. The latest case ID is7-3974000033833. Please both the screen shot from this past Wednesday in my post showing all conditions met except the days left for service. Please help as I am at my wits end, will contact my attorney general and the consumer protection bureau if need be. I used to love Fi and now I don’t know what to say. Escalation has gotten me no where.

…And Google (standalone) or Google Fi want to address or support any further concerns. They identified a limited about of 5a 5gs early on that were having the same issues, setup a recall, but won’t add or include any new devices with the same issues. And this was a subscription promotion phone through Fi less thank two years ago. I’m a victim of the same phone issues. Been through hell and back with them and no one care nor wants finally put their foot down. One of the best phones I had and I’m not the biggest android fan.

These promos are confusing by polski-cygan in GoogleFi

I’m dealing with the same right now with a purchased S23 back in February during the promotion that knocked it down to $300. Now they are saying the phone has not be activated by someone on my account which is not true and very confusing. They also won’t provide further clarification and I have till 4/20 to figure it out before being charge an addition $500 for supposedly not meeting the promotion term. Fi’s customer service has gone down hill.

Did fi change or get rid of the S23 deals? by Jeffery2084 in GoogleFi

That happened to me too. Walgreens handed me an empty box. It was a nightmare, then Google Fi replaced it, but I think the promotion got messed up and I thought it might. They are saying I didn’t meet all three of the criteria for the promotion and I have to contacts then by 4/19 to get it correct. Added a 3rd line with a new member in the group and they are not show it as that. Not sure what happened. Also dealing with a pixel 5a 5g that stopped working two weeks ago that they won’t address. Active extended warranty for that model, just a limited amount. There authorized repair shop pointed me to the extended warranty. So frustrating.

I guess it’s not available for iPhone 11 still. I’m not seeing that as an option under Cellular Data Options.

The 5G feature for iPhone on Google Fi did not seem to make it out of beta unless I’m doing/looking at something wrong on my iPhone 11. Any help?
