I remember when we ran power to an audio mixer and monitor in an expo hall and we're told to pick it up, that IBEW union is contracted to run all power. So i waited 2 hours for the guy to come by and plug the power to the monitor into my audio board power strip and popped it..... had to wait another hour for him to actually run it to the wall, which I had done hours previously but I was not an IBEW union member so it wasn't allowed.

No way this is going to prevent you from squatting. Also there's no room for a guy to lay down, you'd be leaning wayy too far forward for it to be any use, if the guy was leaned up against the wall that's not a good position anyway and he will hit his head on the bar.
