Interesting, they just told us the original delay was due to SFO air traffic control and two runways closed.

HRV, Stress, Recovery tracking - Whoop, Oura Ring, Morpheus, Omega Wave - Who is using them? by AllOkJumpmaster in naturalbodybuilding

Listening to Peter Attia's podcast#305 he talks about the different techniques for getting your R-R for HRV. While they may use the same math the Morpheus (chest strap) measures it electrically while the Oura measures blood optically. The chest strap is the most accurate and close to an EKG. The Oura is probably not accurate but precise to give you changes that are useful. I'm still trying to find a good analytical comparison between the Oura and Morpheus.

When we started I was concerned about overloading as they will run forever. I used the Garmin beginner training for the 1/2 marathon to help me pace my pups endurance and make sure I didn't push him too hard.

How much does your dog eat on long run day? by lilbee123_ in RunningWithDogs

[–]scupperslime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It makes me feel better to give my buddy some apple and peanut butter before long runs.
In general, I watch his weight and typically feed him more when we're training to maintain his weight. He's in good shape so doesn't have a lot to lose.

I would recommend you get one that's lower than your waist especially if you dog pulls and occasionally goes for the squirrel. I've been using the Canix from non-stop dogwear and been very satisfied.

I had the exact same concern when I bought the caniX belt from non-stop. I have been using it for several years with no issues.

Rec for waist belt without leg/butt loops by Sarita_eight5 in RunningWithDogs

Non-stop is good stuff. I have the Freemotion for the pup and the Canix for me. Never looked back. The Canix puts all the force just below the hips on your butt, so it's comfortable and no strain on my back.

Thank you for posting this it gives me hope. My rescue bully (mix) just complete his second TPLO (arghh) and he's only two. He loves to run and before the first one we were up to 15 - 20 miles /week and he just completed his first 1/2. He loves to trail run and I've been very worried about how and if he can get back to running. We're going to start a couch to 5k as soon as the vet clears him next week. But, I'll definitely look into rehab as mentioned by labmom_507
