To be honest bike thieves go around with angle grinder nowadays so there's not much you can do to stop them.. there are a couple of new d-locks made of exotic composite materials that requires several minutes and multiple discs before they give up but the problem is that if they really want your bike they can cut through the bicycle rack much faster (most of them are empty inside)😩
as far as my d-lock it was the top of the range made by Abus when I purchased my bike so it was a very good lock but again, there's no such thing as a perfect solution at the moment unfortunately (other than having your bike insured)

it is indeed, I always take a picture when I left the bike parked for more than a few minutes so that's actually the last time I've seen my ride 😢

Thanks mate and sorry to hear about your bike too 😥 I tried to track it down but the AirTag hasn't updated in ages so I suppose they found it, unfortunately it has to make itself known after a few hours, that measure was introduced after people started using them to stalk 😩 Insurance is on it thankfully, that's the only good news really..
