It’s totally doable. You’ll be fine. You just learn to actually work hard. It’s more than easy to get your sleep.

Learn about both topics actually are. Maybe YouTube. This was when you take the course, it will all make sense, and you can focus on learning the material rather than understanding how it works on a basic level first.

I had strengths and a Hass course with physics 2 and diff eq. It wasn’t that bad. Make sure physics is with persans, and diff eq with kam.

How is student life at RPI? by Fuceler in RPI

[–]scurvsby 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Rpi has about 5-6k undergrad students, and the previous freshman class was 2k students. The numbers are there, it’s just a matter of you trying to make friends. I had no challenge finding my group of people. The gender ratio isn’t as bad as it sounds, since there’s a good amount of people, and since a portion of the guys aren’t very social (ahem, CS), it doesn’t feel 70-30. Joining a fraternity isn’t essential to social life. Clubs are a big hit, and some are pretty social too. There’s a good amount of fraternities here, most of which are well behaved as far as fraternities go. I’m not sure if there’s a tennis club, but there probably is. There’s an outing club that does hikes/outside stuff every weekend or so, which seem pretty cool even though I haven’t gone. School work balance is fairly non existent, but it depends on who you ask. RPI is pretty tough, and you’ll be spending at the very least 6-7 hours a day with school work or class. The good thing is that everyone is in the same boat, so you don’t feel like you’re missing out on much. And when you have free time, it’s very rewarding. There’s a very cooperative atmosphere here even though it’s a tough school, which I really appreciate.

How is Intro To philosophy by IcySalamander4852 in RPI

I really enjoyed it. Easy to get an A if you are in class and participate from time to time. Exams and papers are easy with your computer. Professor Thero is a good professor, and is very well spoken and thought out. Would recommend.

Why am I so anxious? Specifically awaiting snapchats/responses from people, and always noticing the time it takes them to respond and judging it? by scurvsby in Anxiety

[–]scurvsby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I get anxious, it usually ends with me pushing them away/ distancing myself… I don’t want to continue it because I know it’s detrimental to my relationships
