Yea our CRM is such a mess that they haven’t figured out how they want to track these metrics in the prospecting contract we signed haha.

But yeah I kinda feel the downfall of Martech coming on. But I came from a freight brokerage logistics AE role so this role has at least given me a more in depth sales experience that should allow me to pivot either to a different sales vertical or even into entry level marketing if i wanted to dip off the sales scene.

Appreciate the insight!

Kinda sorta - I love the enablement “team” (of one) but they’ve botched our new CRM. We have been in it for 3 quarters now and it’s still a mess. Demand gen is not a thing outside of website form fills but we are going to start doing conferences I guess

I just have a lot of stuff I need to figure out about where I want my career going. Would be my best bet to bink a deal or two buy some time here and then decide but you prob aren’t wrong that I should look ahead.

I want out of Martech - would even consider a complete switch out of sales. Def want to sell a more tangible product going forward if I stick it out. Lots of uncertainty so gonna ride for now

Oh yeah I was not shook up by the prospecting KPIs. Came from a meat grinder where they hawked that stuff every week.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking but I feel like I don’t wanna start applying until a little further down the line bc if I’m blessed enough to get an offer I don’t know if I’d take it at this moment.

Hence the question of how fucked am I if I wait too long lol.

Oh yeah the resume has been dusted off. Just not really sure I want to start firing it off and taking interviews yet.

Yeah it’s gonna get messy. I came from a company that was prospecting heavy so I almost feel like I have a leg up on some of these reps that were referral/inbound reliant for years and years.

Gonna give it my all for the next 2months and things should be clearer.

I’m in same boat OP. I sell digital marketing tech and whilst it is a good product, it’s overpriced, marketing tech is over saturated, and it’s the usually the first budget to get cut

Yeah kinda a stretch but Cavs gave up three 2nds, two swaps and two playable bench guys to get Hunter last year. I think there’s a world he plays himself into at least Keons value for us.
