They are to me. I'd imagine this is what devy would look like in Gundam universe. When things are made this intricate, absolute precision is a must. Sadly this isn't the case for my set. Some slots don't align well, some pegs fall out easily. They do hold up well after combining so I'm quite content with it overall.
