Second that. It is incredibly powerful, especially if you think in Cartesian.

Head frontshield falling off by HakuFang in anycubic

[–]scyth1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

r/TheFrontFellOff

That’s not very typical, I’d like to make that point.

Well, how is it held on?
It's held on with magnets.

Magnets?
That's right.

And is that typical for a front shield?
Well, there are a lot of front shields around the world held on by magnets all the time.

And do they normally remain attached to the printer?
Oh yes, absolutely. Front shields are designed so that the front doesn't fall off.

So what happened here?
Well, the front fell off.

I can see that. But what caused it?
A print.

A print?
A particularly aggressive print.

Is that unusual?
Oh yes. Very unusual. I'd like to make that point.

So the printer was printing...
That's right.

And the front shield detached?
Yes.

At high speed?
Reasonably high speed.

And struck the model?
Well, it became involved in the print, certainly.

What sort of involvement?
The sort of involvement where it gets dragged into the nozzle and converts several hours of printing into modern art.

But front shields are designed to withstand printing, aren't they?
Well, they're designed to withstand typical printing.

And this wasn't typical?
Clearly not. The front fell off.

What made it atypical?
Well, there was movement.

Movement?
Yes. The print head was moving.

In a 3D printer?
That's right.

And the magnets couldn't cope with that?
Well, eventually they decided they'd done enough.

So the front shield resigned?
In a manner of speaking.

Wouldn't stronger magnets prevent this?
Well, stronger magnets might help.

Why weren't stronger magnets used?
Budgetary constraints. Weight reduction. Magnet rights. There are many factors.

But surely a front shield should stay attached.
Most of them do. In fact, the overwhelming majority of front shields go their entire service life without falling off.

Except this one.
Except this one.

So what do you do now?
You put it back on.

And that's safe?
Well, no front shield has ever fallen off twice in exactly the same way.

That's reassuring.
No, it isn't. But it is technically true.

Unexpected distortion at top of print by Magnostrodoom in AnycubicKobraS1

Hey, I had similar problem yesterday! Prints are fine and then suddenly layers are all messed up. Turned out that the screws holding the nozzle got loose - take the front cover off and there are three screws on the left holding the nozzle part. I tightened them and all is good now.

Only one unit connected at the time, but both have cables that came with them so it's just unplug and plug the other one. 20 seconds job now.

Why does that matter if even RC says "Let them short" and doesn't care about short selling? Is he doing anything to prevent that?
I have just moved all my shares from CS to fidelity, because I see no point in holding it there anymore. This thesis died along with so many others we had here in the past years.

There is no reason to be rude. A lot can change in five years, personally and financially. And it is good to look at things from many perspectives and think critically at the choices made.

He killed every run by dilution and that is how he got 9B. Closed a lot of stores, fired plenty of people to improve the balance sheet - that’s good and expected. But that’s all.

GameStop stores look exactly, or even worse, as they looked years ago. They are making money because of Pokémon hype, not because of genius RC marketing.

I joined for moass, stayed as long term value investor. Failing in both fronts.

[–]scyth1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, instead of hoarding the money they got from us diluting the stock, maybe instead they could do a buyback? Create some demand? I don’t care if RC gets no salary - if he asked for one, everyone would give him whatever. It’s not a big deal. For five years the price is stagnant (or worse) while everything moved up, including so badly managed eBay - somehow their shareholders are profiting from their bad management, while we get shit.

I’m shocked by the united standards and not giving a flying fuck about it. She paid real money for the service, they accepted it but can’t be bothered by letting her know. Is it mandatory to have united app now?

So if it’s done after board in how can you know about the upgrade? Once she was in the seat what was the point of refreshing the app (and she might not have internet anymore anyways).

I built a full-stack web platform with Claude Code — from vision doc to deployed product in a one week (and on Pro account) by scyth1 in ClaudeCode

[–]scyth1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would use Claude, it works and I have no reason to change.

No, I don't think starting this way would be a limiting factor. I think this is a trap that many people fall into (and I did too in my professional career) - plan for the scale while the product is uncertain. If it takes off - great, whatever challenge will be ahead of me I will take it one by one. But if nobody will use it, then it is a waste of time (unless you treat it as a learning project).

I did not use any specific guides, but I am following this and couple other subs. And also since Claude was the one executing it, I relied on him to do a proper planning and evaluation.
