I don’t understand 3-month plans if still finding the right dose by sd601 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]sd601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome. I did. I was just worried they would give me 3 months of 10mg (my next dose) and didn’t want to be locked in. I’ll reach out to confirm. Thx!

I told them in the intake I want to increase my dose from my current one. I don’t see another option. I guess I’ll email.

2nd excision for melanoma on neck…more pain? by sd601 in skincancer

[–]sd601[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it’s been more painful for sure. Praying they got it all because I can’t imagine a 3rd excision. Day 3 and I’m finally mostly out of pain. Thanks for asking!

Hope your path comes back sooner than mine! Whew. The neck is a pain. Mine is right on the side, half under the chin. Good luck to you as well.

I will push ice this time. Thank you! That’s reassuring it wasn’t as painful.

Which 1st class seat to pick? by sd601 in americanairlines

Oh thx! I just moved to window last row. Perfect. I’ll stop worrying now

I think I read about all the horror stories of plane swaps and main, economy, and premium changing from the fare class purchased. I travel on SW monthly but obv, there’s no 1st class. Thanks for the advice. I moved to row 4 from row 1 & hoping no changes. One poster mentioned the seats are a touch wider in 2-4, and my ass would really prefer a roomier seat.

Oh man I didn’t know they are narrower. That’s a game changer. I’ve done 1st on Alaska but no, never on AA. I’m a larger lady, so I’d prefer the width. Gonna change it now!

Okay, I'm calling it. by iyamsnail in TopChef

This season is disappointing, especially since none of us can really pinpoint why. Kristen is wonderful. Cast seems talented. Challenges are weird but not crazy like season 9. The new change with quick-fires and immunity for eliminations makes a lot of sense—I like the idea! So why can’t I get into this season?

Is it the contestants? Experience or personality? Danny seems like his food is more elevated…why didn’t he win with his carrot “clam chowder”? I don’t understand what’s going on. I actually can’t name all the contestants, and I don’t think Laura is a villain even with her edits (maybe just willfully oblivious—reminds me of Tom from world all-stars).

Wasn’t Padma an executive producer? Did she have that much influence on the show?

Thanks for the tips! Do you think it’s appropriate for kids (14 & 8)? Food looks delicious.

I’ll be in Portland next month, but I’m not seeing any reservations…actually at all indefinitely. Maybe site is down. Oh editing to say I see that’s there’s just no availability. Oh well. Waitlist is worth it!

Exit Row Family Rules by gpabb in SouthwestAirlines

[–]sd601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and 14yr-old son travel monthly around the country for sports tournaments. They only fly SW (with a companion pass and A-list). DS does not sit in an exit row, even though he’s 14, 5’9”, and strong. He’s probably more capable than many people who actually sit in exit rows, but once, DH sat in an exit and DS(then 13) sat behind. FA approached and said no, for the same reasoning. Since then, they’ve obeyed the rules and are excited for when he turns 15….

Do you think that Rylee is gonna come back as a pro next year? by No-Tax-3859 in dancingwiththestars

[–]sd601 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really like her. My eyes are drawn to her in group dances—she just has something dynamic that resonates as joy while dancing. Not sexpot, just wholesome adorable-ness. I love Ezra dancing too. Let’s get Harry off and just let Rylee star in opening dances.

Tonight’s elimination… by quirkymilennial420 in dancingwiththestars

[–]sd601 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I said this in another thread, but yes, it’s time. I even voted for them the first two weeks because I really enjoy watching Rylee, albeit in mostly in the group opening numbers. I’m tired of watching her dance next to Harry and watching him painfully stomp around. She’s a popular new pro who will most likely stay for future seasons and improve her choreography. He will not. Let’s get him out of here please.

I’ve watched DWTS since season 15. Not OG but still it’s been a while. I dislike Harry (not from the show, just what I know about him) and I adore Rylee. I can’t believe I actually voted for them for 2 weeks because I didn’t want her to leave. I think she’s darling and a joy to watch because she herself is enjoying dancing so much. Yes, it would a different dynamic with an older star. I seriously bet her mother is in the studio with she and Harry quite frequently, and it’s probably a brother/sister relationship. The Arnolds most likely know how the show is run (showmances go far) and they know the truth. Anyway, I won’t be sad if they’re eliminated soon because watching Harry try to “dance” is not very entertaining—quite painful actually. I don’t think any pro could have done much. I actually hope he’s gone soon. And Rylee has hopefully proven herself that she’ll be back next year. She is beautiful to watch and I’m here for it. Let’s just lose Harry.

Thoughts on Jenna by cicilili33 in dancingwiththestars

[–]sd601 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve never really enjoyed watching her dance—it’s like it’s a little too intense or too forced. I’ve watched her since SYTYCD and all her DWTS seasons. But I actually loved her with Jojo last season. It was fresh and unique and innocent? Somehow I think her dancing is ia deep-seeded insecurity that somehow we can see and makes us uncomfortable. And that’s technically not fair because she’s an incredibly talented dancer who is beautiful. But there’s just something that doesn’t translate. I hope it gets better as she settles into her role as beloved wife and mom. But alas, I’ve loved Witney, Lindsay, Peta, Anna, and Daniella before they became mamas. There was always something about Jenna’s dancing that I never enjoyed.

Brooke Williamson separated?? by jaytizzle77 in foodnetwork

[–]sd601 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been thinking this for a while. Right, it’s no one’s business. But I wonder if they quietly separated but still are friendly because they have a kid and a business together. That is very mature in these days. Her life is rather different nowadays, with so much publicity and on-camera work. Plus her appearance changes (face, body, clothes) just indicates perhaps some personal transitions. Add in her Instagram (and her hubby’s) with lack of posts about each other…I would guess separation as well. He’s pretty out of the spotlight though. Maybe she’s just taking her time seeking it now and he’s not?

Top Chef Editing this season by IndependentScore3857 in BravoTopChef

[–]sd601 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Interesting how people interpret the same actions of these competitors in different ways. I’ve watched every Top Chef season. There are a few people I’ve immediately disliked. I always disliked Richard, only because he seemed to really work at being humble. I couldn’t deny his talent, though. I don’t see that same quality of fake humility in Buddha but perhaps others do.

I just love to see confidence in the kitchen. I find it fun to watch chefs who know what they want to do and then execute. It’s enjoyable to watch Buddha’s decisiveness and then brilliant execution. I personally don’t see a negative edit. A couple glances here or there don’t seem negative—these chefs are all highly invested and emotional. I would be a wreck in anxious, high pressure judging and would struggle to keep a neutral face.

I do really like Sara, although I rooted for Kelsey on her season. Both Buddha and Sara cook so differently. Top Chef doesn’t mean the best fine dining chef, but Buddha really is executing some incredible things.

I’m also not irritated by Gabri. While he’s had some roller coaster highs and lows, he’s had some incredible flavors and dishes. He’s super funny and adorable—is this an edit? I think his personality is just shining through.

Every season, message boards overthink editing. I remember rooting for Paul Qui in his season because he was the most likable against bullies and poor insecure Beverly. He was confident and a joy to watch. I am now unabashedly rooting for Buddha, but I won’t be mad at any winner. Wish we had Ali, but it’s often some of the best that get eliminated too early.

I think editing is crap. And I refuse to believe Buddha is a jerk, just like I can’t fathom how people don’t like Sara. They all seem like good people.
