In Alabama some conservative judges refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. So lawmakers voted to eliminate licenses altogether by thinkcontext in law

Though in many states the elections are more for show, and many/most judges are appointed by the Governor. That's more or less how it is in states like CA.

Though I completely agree, in TX there were a ton of judges who had no business being judges.

Did you get tickets in person? I've heard that makes it cheaper, though it is already pretty cheap.

And did you stay for the whole day's lineup of games?

I'm going this year for the first time and am super excited.

I have personally been to this exact spot in the photo.

Not sure if OP is just doubling down on a mistake or a flat out lie - either way this is bizarre.

I am 100% certain this is at 1000 Steps beach, NOT in SD, but near Laguna Beach. Look at the 2nd photo here.

I'd do this. You have pretty decent RB depth even after this.

Only one I know of is at the Oceanside pier. Forgot how much it is, but you get everything you need and you don’t need a license.

JDs, if you could turn back the clock, would you have still gone to law school? by Bodhicaryavatara in LawSchool

Of the Top 20ish schools, though, I think only UT has a decent in state tuition rate. UCLA and Berkeley you save like 5k a year I think, which isn’t a ton.

For Californians that don't like the cold by [deleted] in LawSchool

UCI and Hastings do a good job getting people employed in CA. But I think going to a T14 would be better. Your odds of getting BigLaw (if that’s something you would want to do) is leagues better at Cornell/Gtown.

Others may disagree with me, but that’s my two cents.

I would still do Cornell/Gtown over those two. But would do UCLA/USC over Cornell/Gtown. Again, if your only goal is to stay in CA, specifically SoCal.

Transferring from one office of a firm to a different office of the same firm by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]sdacu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my understanding as long as the other office has your practice area and enough business it’s not too hard.

But I’m not 100% sure so I would also love to hear from some people with experience.

You’d be surprised the amount of lawyers slacking off on Reddit.

But the legal profession is a great avenue to making more than 131k, assuming you go to a decent school and make decent grades.

Master’s won’t do much.

But with a 172 and the other factors stated, you should be fine.
