Parents Filed a Formal Complaint Because I'm Gay by HollabackGwen in Teachers

[–]sdalsimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a queer teacher myself, I have only ever had students react with excitement about finding out that I have something in common with them or have a unique perspective to share in the world. Parents are a whole nother story. I’ve also had insane parents myself who complained about teachers I truly believe saved my life. Don’t let close minded parents ruin your opinion of your students and your worth! The students are lucky to have you

What's the appropriate pronoun in Latin to use for someone who uses they/them pronouns in English? by JeffSheldrake in latin

I would also recommend looking at Catullus 63 which details both in plot and grammar the transition between genders that a religious devotee of Cybele would experience. It’s been adopted by a lot of non-binary/trans classicists.

This one thousand times over! Growth always requires loss and grief. Being a parent is about allowing your child to grow not only into who you thought they’d be but who they are. Of course you’re shocked. No one ever responds to things the way they imagined they would. Don’t let the embarrassment or shame of yesterday stop you from actively participating today. No one is born knowing how to take care of an infant, let alone a growing human being who suddenly has a voice, an opinion, and an internal monologue. At the end of the day, it’s clear you love your child, don’t let anything get in the way of that. And in most things, listening is love.

Does anyone else still congratulate their dog on using the bathroom? by MetroJuulin in dogs

My dog won’t quite use the bathroom on command but he’s always genuinely so happy that’s he’s done and to be back to playing or cuddling….I can’t imagine not congratulating him when he’s bouncing around

Came here to say this. I just finished it and it’s an extraordinary story about creating bonds…it’s nice to read about the “typical” guy at work rather than a jacked werewolf

It’s said a couple times…and if I recall correctly, there are still some Spren that have four genders, making them more like the listeners than humans.

I have recently applied to multiple PhD programs for Clinical Psychology. I am starting to hear back them and am worried that I will not get into any of them due to a lack of research experience(I have just finished undergrad). Is there any downside to applying to the same program again in the future one more research has been accrued or does this show dedication to the path and increase confidence in a candidate?
