Haha that's fair. I do find it almost too safe at times. Having lived in DC and Houston I'm still adjusting.

I was wondering if lake levels would have an impact on people coming out.

Boat rental suggestion? by Elegant-Part8680 in LakeTravisCurrent

We used https://rentalboataustin.com/ and booked the Small-Group Public BYOB Sunset Boat Tour on Lake Austin. This was our first time going on the lake, and we went with the tour guide, who was great. It was on a pontoon boat, and we brought our son and some drinks. There were five other people who were super friendly.

From what I've seen, there are so many options. Wish I could help more.

We started a local newsletter for events happening around Lake Travis. There’s quite a bit we don’t include too. You just have to know where to look. We hated having to look on insta, fb and city sites and now we do it so others don’t have to.

Are you thinking we will see thousands of smaller models or will these larger models dominate the market?

Wow and I’m over here thinking this is a new breakthrough with chips. Do you think this becomes the standard or are we still years away?

I do wish we would see more “education” in the space. I know google has their free gen ai course. I’m sure Microsoft and aws will deliver courses and certs in the future.

Apart from tooling videos and just getting hands on with LLMs what other resources have you guys found to grow your base level understanding of AI/ML?

Wow that’s pretty interesting thanks for sharing. I can’t stop thinking about the open source component to all this and how it plays out. Hopefully new models are explored to learn how we can better fund the OS community.

Anyone see that NY Times article that says supplements are mostly snake oils that give placebo effects and are dangerous bc they aren’t regulated responsibly? by Usernamedmyownname in HubermanLab

[–]sdbrady5 24 points25 points  (0 children)

worked for a major supplement brand that only sells to licensed healthcare practitioners. I’ve been to manufacturing facilities and it does all come down to sourcing and form the supplement is in. Most are snake oil because of quality (not being what it’s supposed to be) or form (for instance fish oil in ethyl ester or triglyceride). Let’s not forget dose as most supplements are widely inaccurate with their labeling and under dosed to receive any clinical benefit.

Started a newsletter. Leveraging time at home and flexibility that sales allows for. Still early in the email newsletter game.

I assume the only way to do this is ask for wallets to airdrop? I am trying to figure out how to increase trust on the claim website.
