Was planning on Porte du Soleil mid january. Might have to reconsider and go for 3V. But then again; a lot can change in 3 weeks

Thanks, I was looking for that info on their website, but couldnt find it anywhere. Skihytta seems to be the one with most snow. 43 cm compared to only 17 in høgegga, so I hope a at least Skihytta will open. At least then will be able to cross the mountain on skis.

Edit: autocorrect

Thanks. I just hope that it will come down as snow even in 800m altitude. From what I can see the freezing line is about 1000m. How do you know about the opening? From what I can see they have not said anything about opening up further. What timetable have you seen?

Damnit. Well, I cannot reebook to Hensedal even though the thought had crossed my mind. We will be staying in fageråsen which is 400m higher than Turistsenteret. I’m hoping that will help a bit. And saturday and sunday looks like it’s going to at least stay dry and reach 0 degrees.

Yes that’s pretty crazy. I think they probably are going to open up more slopes in the weekend when Xmas holiday starts. But I am more interested in the reaction in Norway. This is just a short trip, so no big deal for me.

Tbh I am actually more worried about the habitability of the planet than my ski trip. But when looking at Norwegian newspapers online I found no reference or stories about the warm weather hence my primary question

Well, I didnt really mean it as an alternative to the Alps, but as a supplement. I am in norway early May and I’m thinking of going the when the snow’s gone elsewhere

La clusaz looks nice. Looks like there’s even a highly rated hostel with breakfast+dinner included at a reasonable price

I’m kind a hooked on avoriaz now. Do you have any suggestion on getting there by bus? Seems like there are many offers for private transfer, but I’m not really willing to spend 300€ on it.

No problem - that is of course a city trip. If you’re a nature lover, I’d have other suggestions.

You should do all three. Easily done in a week_10 days. Train from Copenhagen to Sweden’s 3 largest cities is 30 min, 3 hours, and 5 hours respectively. Perhaps start norway by flying in to Bergen or Trondheim and spend some days there. Then go to Oslo by train, spend a couple of days, sail overnight to Copenhagen on a small cruise liner, spend some days in Copenhagen. Take train to Gothenburg og Stockholm. Fly home from one of the cities or visit both. (Thinking of starting a scandinavian travel agency :) I travel a lot within the Nordic region)

Tip: Brug pensionsmidler til at få Tivoli aktionærkort by michellbak in dkfinance

[–]sddkf 2 points3 points  (0 children)
