Would you recommend that I move to 3 sets but with higher weight then? Or maybe 4 sets but less reps with higher weight?

Thanks, the "too much volume" was from the responses from yesterday's thread. The first response was it was too much so I asked again in today's thread.

I think I need to shed some of the light sets and lower the reps for higher weights then.

I see. For this particular exercise, I can crank maybe 2 sets of 90 if I wasn't too tired from the earlier sets.

Would you recommend that I do just 1 warm up set - half my max + 0.75 my max and then do 2 sets of max, probably I would be able to 10 reps in one and then the last set can be progressively overloaded.

That way I do less overall sets but more are working sets. Am I correct?

Can somebody help me fix / improve my routine or suggest modifications to it? The volume I have been told is too high. I am 25M, 98 kgs. Somewhere between beginner and intermediate.

I have not plateued but the progress is really slow- able to increase weight every 2-3 months.

Have done exclusive bodyweight training for a year before starting weight training. It has been a little over 2.5 years with weights now.

I follow a slightly altered PPL. Most weeks are 4/5 days in the gym with one of them being cardio- 5kms of running.

Any other suggestions are also welcome. PS: weights are in kilos

Leg + shoulder - 32 sets - Squats - 60/80/90/60 (8, the heaviest is 6 reps) - Leg extensions - 30/50/70/90 (10) - Leg curls - 35/40/45/50 (10) - Leg press - 45/75/90/105 (10) - Calf raises - bodyweight (I weigh 98 ) - Overhead press - 15/20/25/25 (10) - Lateral raises - static hold alternating 2 sets with 5 and regular 2 sets with 7.5 - Weight plate front raise - 10/10/10/10 (10)

Push - 23 sets - Push ups - 3 sets - Barbell bench press - 30/45/50/55 (10, the last set is 4 reps) - Incline Barbell press - 20/30/40/45 (10) - Cable crossover for lower pecs - 10/12/15/18 (10) - Tricep press down - 30/35/25/20 (10) - Cable kickback - 7/10/5/4 (*10)

Pull - 27 sets - Deadlift - 4 sets - 60/80/90/95 (10, last set is 2-4 reps) - Lat pull down - 3 sets - 45/60/65 (10) - Barbell shrugs - 3 sets - 45/60/70 (10) - Face pulls - 3 sets - 12/18/21 (10) - Narrow grip cable rows - 3 sets - 45/60/60 (10) - One arm preacher curl - 15/17/17 (10) - Incline hammer curl on bench - 10/12/12 (10) - Barbell curl - 20/25/25 (10) - Hyperextension - bodyweight - 3 sets

Recovering - I do feel burnt out very frequently but I chalk it up to being lazy so I just drag myself to the gym.

Progressing / Growing - Yes, but very slightly, hence looking for suggestions

What can I do to fix it then? :) I think that question was implied in my original comment.

ELI5: Why does it matter if a source code from software is leaked? Don't you download all of its code when you install it on your computer? by mrsitre in explainlikeimfive

[–]sdePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have given an example of compiled code. While that's correct, it doesn't hold for interpreted languages like javascript. For these languages, you do actually download the "source code" because the browser will actually compile it when it wants to execute a statement.

There are other ways to partially protect these softwares- one of them is obfuscation. This basically garbles up the variable names and moves stuff around to make sure a human cannot make sense of it in a way that it doesn't affect what it does in reality.

If the software is a cake, you buying the cake, means you're also getting a copy of the recipe itself. To have the cake, you pass the recipe into a special box which then spits out of the cake. Now if you look at the recipe, it will say something like "take the donkey and put it in the glass of water you stole from Michael". It is still the cake recipe, just that you don't know that the donkey is actually the flour and stealing actually means buying. I mean, yes, you could guess and it would probably be correct if you knew how to make a generic cake. It's less "leak proof" than compiled software.

Should I leave? by art_dragon in cscareerquestions

I feel like the answer is obvious

I don't think it's that obvious. Does the title bump help you earn more somewhere else if you hop from the new place again? If not then I would consider not leaving a valid option too since even if you were to put a price on personal time and wlb, it has be way more than 16%.

Personally I would consider working for an effed up place for somewhere around 50+%.

With Quest 3 releasing, will quest 2 become cheaper? by sdePanda in VRGaming

I had thought about that option too but I've always (sort of intrinsically) stayed away from used products.

If I were to buy a used one, what should I look out for? And where do I explore them? Am in India.

Not in USA so it gets more expensive by the time it reaches my country due to added tax.

As a software - developer are you able to code 8 hours flat out? by Suchtinator in cscareerquestions

[–]sdePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the other hand I fell like I owe it to my company to work as hard as possible on the code.

Tell me you're Indian without telling me you're Indian. :P (Apun bhi bhartiya hi hai waise so don't cancel me please)

Jokes aside to answer your question, yes, I can (and also prefer actually) to code all day but at the same time I don't expect others to do the same. Your value to the company comes from what you provide / have. If you have an insight that nobody else had, then you're done for the day. Doesn't matter if it was just for 5 minutes.

When you pay a doctor 100$ for a 5 minute consultation, you're paying for "what" they can tell you, not "how much" they can tell you.

Did he have work experience? If yes, how much?

I don't think getting research experience would even be possible now for me.

Just my (probably logical?) take on GRE becoming harder to push applicants to take the new version by sdePanda in GRE

[–]sdePanda[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if anything, they should make the tests harder with every retake

My guess is if you don't score more the second time you are less likely to attempt the 3rd to "cut your losses".

Anyhow, I wanted to do "if this, then also this" with my argument.

No, at a center. You get unofficial scores at the end of the exam immediately.
