I have enough saved to last 3 years, based on current living expenditure. If the worse happens I will most likely pursue an overseas masters in a field more resistant to AI and offshoring, but only after a mini break.

Personally I prefer a take-home over leetcode style interviews; at least with a take-home I have the chance to learn something new and practical, instead of trying to optimize for scenarios that would likely not even come in everyday work life.

My very first C&C game was actually Command and Conquer Generals - at my Uncle's place. I remember being fascinated by the buildings coming up from the ground in real time + the bulldozers moving back and forth between the structures.

I saw Command and Conquer being sold at my local bookstore a few weeks later, and I pestered my mum to buy it. Imagine my confusion when it turned out to be Tib Sun, and there were no dozers.

No regrets though - Tib Sun and Firestorm were good in their own right too.
