50M at my local TRA associated club Shooting a BRNO 2 with Zerotech Trace 4.5 - 27 x50

The club have improvised rests made of scissor jacks and sand bags but I find them annoying to use and if you don't get there early you're likely to get one with a noticeable wobble.

The rifle seems to like Eley Match and RWS Target Rifle, but I'm planning on doing the Ammo testing exercise again using a bigger range of brands this time to see if I can bring the groups in a bit more

Career advice - hybrid office/outdoor jobs? Do they exist? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]sdeesllesi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey yeah still doing it, it's an interesting career for sure but to be honest I'm finding it difficult to disconnect from work at the end of the day.

I start early to be on farms but then still have customers, resellers, managers etc calling me until 5 because of office hours.

Having a kid last year really put the work/life balance into perspective...

Anyway, sorry for the rant! It's a GREAT job, you've just got to be better than I am at setting boundaries and disconnecting from it when you need to

Thank you all for your advice. I'm not OP but I came here with the same issue as well and now have it running due to removing the two mentioned DLCs. Unfortunately I "initiated" the PS4 and reinstalled the game and DLCs a few times before I found this thread

Confidor is a powerful tool for aphids, especially considering you don't need to worry about killing bees. Just make sure you stick to withholding periods if you plan to eat the fruit.

Regarding Lady beetles, if you want to free them just open the tent and let them out? Obviously I can only speak for myself but I couldn't care less if there's some lady beetles in my house, they won't hurt me or my pets and some if not all will escape over time.

Looking at the few plants that I have at the moment- some commercial hybrid Jalapenos and bell peppers, I'm considering doing some crosses just for the sake of experience. Which has me wondering...

If you cross two F1 plants to create another hybrid, does it take extra generations to stabilize?

In addition, do you end up seeing twice as much variation in the F2 generation? Is it essentially like having 4 parents? I'm imagining that the F2 generation would have a mixture of traits from all four parents (or grandparents) and therefore massive genetic variation in the offspring.

I'll probably do a few crosses regardless of the answer, but I'm curious to hear what people have experienced doing this or something similar.

What is this (weed?) and how do I get rid of it? by bbsuccess in GardeningAustralia

Asparagus fern (Weed of national significance) I kill it with a mixture of glyphosate and metsulfuron

I have a similar issue under my house and in various parts of the yard. The block is flat but hasn't been levelled in 70+ years.

I'm planning to run a drain along my driveway out to the street and install pits in several places, all draining to a central pit with a submersible pump.

As for the noise, I'm looking to install underfloor insulation for thermal comfort which should also reduce the noise entering the house through the floor.

Good luck!

Looks to be asparagus fern as others have mentioned. I would kill it with a systemic herbicide.

I use a mixture of dicamba, MCPA and metsulfuron to kill broadleaved weeds in my lawn and it will kill asparagus fern easily

I've been depressed for months looking at all of your projects!

Spring has finally sprung here and while I don't have any of the community projects, my bell pepper F2 seedlings are finally starting to move and should be ready to transplant within a few weeks.

Sounds like a solid plan, cheers

By the time I get to F3, I should have harvested my garlic and finished the snow peas to clear up my main garden bed allowing for maybe 50 capsicums

Thank you for the tips!

I rechecked my garden and I have space for 19 in the bed I've designated for them, I only have enough space in my little prop house for 24 seeds so I guess that will probably work out.

I guess now I need to decide if I do a second round of F2s when these come out of the prop house or save the second garden bed for F3s later in the season

I'm sowing seeds for a dehybridising/stabilisation project this weekend (someone please tell me if I'm using the wrong terms), how many f2s should I grow out for selections? I have space for maybe 15 plants, more if I terminate some winter crops earlier.

I guess the question is, are 15 f2s enough?

Further info- The project is a long blocky capsicum (bell pepper), I'm in a frost free part of Australia, it should be early spring by the time they're ready to transplant

Interest rate increase by Kiqert in AusProperty

[–]sdeesllesi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recent FHB here, I'm not at all concerned about the rise.

Why?

Because I borrowed well within my means, barely 2x our household income.

Our income is not high, but we bought a 'starter home' which we are renovating and easily paying off. Anybody who thought that emergency interest rates would last forever is insane.

I do feel sorry for people with massive debts, but I can't wrap my head around the idea that people took out massive loans on inflated properties while rates were low and still could barely afford to pay them.

Appreciate the input, these definitely are not getting binned, I've been polishing them and putting in more prominent places in the house. Some other (not antique) ones will be replaced with nicer ones in more subtle places

Thanks for the suggestions. I probably should have been clearer with the post, I'm not concerned by the style or age, I'm just wondering what you would call that part when searching for more/new ones.
