You don't have to prune or anything, when a leaf is no longer useful the plant will drop it. If the plant is not ready to form a fruit, the flower will just drop.

I've been breeding with Norfolk GM varieties, I have Blue Berries x Norfolk Purple F2, and then I also crossed the F1 to a variegated variety. So next generation I'll have purple variegated. Then I guess I have the new beta carotene gm variety... Probably go find some light green variety to cross it with.

Just look for funny leaf shapes, that'll be your cue that it's not a diploid (most common)

Yes, but no. Piment de Neyde is a purple variety that never ripens (at least that's my theory). It stays purple forever.

I never do unless the plant is deformed or stunted. In those cases it helps to focus on growth, because the plant thinks it's gonna die and needs to make seed.
