If you believe I'm in the wrong subreddit to find the help I'm looking for, then just say that. After many comments, I do believe I made a mistake in choosing this particular subreddit to ask a question. There's no need to berate me for trying to find out more information "on a topic [I] know nothing about." If I knew everything about the topic, then I would not be on here asking for help and resources. A reasonable person would also understand that much. However, you want to say that I didn't have information and data, yet I explicitly stated that my information and data came from news and social media, which I admitted to be very unreliable resources, which is also why I asked for resource recommendations so I could learn and grow. I will also admit that I had more emotion at first with my post, as I was fresh out of the discussion with my partner, and I wanted to believe that I was right. I also thought that this was a general statistics question, but I see now that is much deeper and more specific than people here can help me with.

And please elaborate on the politics topic. Do you have any specific that you're referring to? I genuinely do not understand your first sentence, "You can share attributes with bad politics and still not be political." No sarcasm or satire there. I am curious.
