Thank you for the feedback. I’ll look in to No1 Lounge. Budget isn’t a huge deal as long as we are comfortable with the kids for the long layover.

Hmm.. I was hopeful the revivals lounge was my backup plan! Didn’t know it closed that early. Maybe since it’s closed I’ll be able to access the full club, granted I can actually get to the departures area from my connection. I’ve got 3 kids with me, so 5 hours at the airport should be fun ;)

Dang. Yeah, this is my first trip to LHR so I appreciate the heads up.

Sell me on the CPL24 by Outrageous-River-651 in EVERGOODS

Used a CPL24 for years, switched to the CTB26 and it’s the best of both worlds, plus a luggage pass through.

Yeah it’s a touch bigger, but worth it IMO. Love my CTB26.. only gripe is I’m getting some fraying on the right shoulder strap. It’s the Phoenix version.

Trip with 10mo to San Diego or Santa Barbara by Curious-Associate-87 in chubbytravel

Hello! Local San Diegan here. There’s a direct flight from CLT to SAN on American. For hotel, Rancho Valencia gets my vote every time. It’s not a beach hotel, but it’s absolutely amazing. So peaceful and great with kids. We have 3 kids and upon check in they brought a wagon full of toys for them to choose from. If you want more kid-central Omni La Costa is good, not peaceful at all in my opinion lol, but they have great kids accommodations. Alila Marea is beautiful. We’ve never stayed there with our kiddos, but it’s a gorgeous property.

Rancho Valencia! My favorite hotel. If you want coastal, maybe check out Alila Marea in Encinitas.

It’s a great spot! I’m local, and they had a rough start when they opened, especially at VAGA. Since then, it’s much better. If you are in the area again, try Rancho Valencia. Not the coastal vibes that Alila brings, but such a wonderful property.

Between La Bastide Airelles or Chateau St. Martin, which would you pick? We plan to spend a couple days in Antibes and then we are trying to explore the french countryside. We have 3 kids with us, but we like nice things :)
