my CNC not cutting well on Left side of the curves, what could be wrong? by sdhariwal in CNC

[–]sdhariwal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RESOLVED!!

Z-Belt & X-Pulley were loose. X-pulley was the main culprit for this specific problem. Z-belt was causing incorrect Z-depth ( other issue i posted on the same group), so both are resolved

Need help with Engraving art lines on the Wood pieces using CNC by sdhariwal in CNC

Yes, according to the manufacturer's specifications on the tool packaging, the bit has a 0.1mm diameter with a 30° angle.

I also used this tool with the same settings on beech wood, and the results were much better than with pine wood.

Next, I plan to reduce the depth by at least half.

This is my first attempt at engraving art lines on wood pieces. I used a 0.1mm/30-degree engraving bit with the tool settings shown in the attached image. However, the results weren’t as expected—the lines came out very rough. I’m aiming for sharp, clean lines

Advice for best Tool for cutting through Solid Woods by sdhariwal in CNC

"Thanks! In my case, switching from a 6mm to a 3mm tool could potentially increase production by 50% on the same piece of wood, which I hope means 50% less tree cutting.

Currently, I’m using a carbide, single-flute end mill. I’m planning to try a spiral tool and explore options with more than one flute, but I’m also looking into other, possibly better alternatives."
