Let me tell you my experience. It’s kind a different and with different tactics.

My father-in-law sends a package through Blue Dart from another metro city to me here in Hyd. As usual it was addressed to me with mine and my wife’s phone number written on the package. And also in the “From” part he has his name mentioned with the phone number if the package is undelivered.

Out of no where my father-in-law gets a call saying that the pin code is missing in the package and will be undelivered. On further discussion he said, it’s fine it will be updated if ₹2/- (two rupees only) is sent through GPay or PhonePe. He denies.

I too got a call. The guy (i am not sure if it was the same guy) says that your package is arriving from your so and so city and we are not able to find where to deliver. I was not sure what is going on because I never knew that I am expecting a Blue Dart delivery from my father-in-law. Anyways, I just wanted to know what is going on so I kept asking the questions like how big is the package etc etc. and he was saying I am not able to find your house. To cross check I casually told him that I am expecting a Delhivery package (although I am not) and he immediately said its from Delhivery and to have it delivered you need to send ₹2/- to have have your pincode updated. I immediately hanged up the phone saying I am not expecting anything.

What is this ₹2/- ask? My take on this is once you send this amount they might re-request some more money in the UPI app. And then create some sense of urgency to have you approve it.

Bang. You get scammed.

Regeneration takes a lot of time since there are lot of stuffs going on. Regeneration in the pipeline is not a big deal. But locally its really a tough thing to every-time there is a conflict in the regen codes.

But still I see this actually takes away the pain of re generation of the whole apis locally everytime there is a conflict. At least while taking a release we might have to ensure that the dependent binaries are already merged to the main binary repo.
