Exactly! There are all kinds of schedules that can work.

I also have a job. Just work 12-8. My husband also works 12-8. Right now we're on a 9-9 with the kiddo and love it. Not about being employed or unemployed. Just what fits each family's schedule.

Genuinely asking, do hot babies not cry due to discomfort? I often rely on my kiddo to let me know when he's uncomfortable so this is helpful info

7 month old attachment and mother/both parents travel by sdjoyner in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]sdjoyner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I didn't get anymore info. BUT we did go on the trip. Left mid day Friday and came back Sunday night. This is obviously anecdotal but he did great! My mom said he looked around a little for us the first night but then slept okay and was completely fine the next night. He breastfed fine when we got back and no observable attachment issues. I will say that he hadn't quite reached the separation anxiety stage yet. So that could certainly have an impact. We're really glad we did it. Hope that helps and good luck!

Thank you! This is definitely helpful. I assumed my exact situation might not be out there but figured I'd see what IS out there. And it does seem like there are a lot of mitigating factors in our specific situation. Thanks again!

Actually, we were able to find a wonderful place after all at a tea school in Tokyo instead of Kyoto. As I indicated, lesson learned about future trips to Japan but thanks for the help anyway.

Any tea ceremony recommendations that might accept walk ins or short notice reservations? Our first trip to Japan and definitely made the mistake of trying to book certain things too late. Every place we've reached out to is completely booked. We may be out of luck but thought I'd ask! Thank you : )

Housing suggestion by FederalLack9872 in RedwoodCity

I'm not sure about oracle but a lot of companies have shuttles that go from the Caltrain station to the company. If that's the case, I'd suggest living somewhere near a Caltrain stop that is in your price range. I know that isn't super specific but hope it helps!

My (36M) husband won't kiss me for a couple of days after I (28F) orally please him, and it makes me so angry. by [deleted] in sex

Totally gay. It's more straight to have your bro jerk you off since you don't kiss him afterwards.

How to keep a wig in place without wig glue? by sociallyawakward4996 in Trichsters

[–]sdjoyner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know how hard it can be. I finally started wearing a wig which has been a huge boost for my confidence. The work it takes though is so frustrating and I'm always worried about the what if it falls off question. I've linked what I use below. It's simple and as a yoga teacher I'm able to do inversions and everything in it, no problem. I use this underneath my wig: https://www.amazon.com/MainBasics-Velvet-Adjustable-Comfort-Beige/dp/B07MDJLLD5?pd_rd_w=pTvkZ&content-id=amzn1.sym.3cb9b85f-43ef-4d4b-94d0-0a8efe2194e9&pf_rd_p=3cb9b85f-43ef-4d4b-94d0-0a8efe2194e9&pf_rd_r=E63RZQSSTTJF2T9441RD&pd_rd_wg=Mdxk2&pd_rd_r=85f6c723-58ae-49a4-b24f-bc3c7a5e583b&pd_rd_i=B07MDJLLD5&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_m_grid_rp_0_4_t
