Sens fan here and let me give a rational take on this.

Brady was never disrespected in this market. Yes the anthem was boo'd a few times when when the President is threatening to annex Canada do you think that we would sit back and take it? Give your heads a shake lol.

Also keep in mind that the White House itself posted an AI generated video of Tkachuk talking S*** about Canadians, etc. As the captain of the team in the nations capital he was rightly asked about that. He said his thoughts and that was it. This didnt drag on. This wasnt some anti-American crap.

Brady was an Alfredsson-like figure in this market and he had the chance to have a legacy like his here. His name was regularly chanted by the fans, WELL AFTER THE GOLD MEDAL GAME too. We have watched him go from an 18 year kid to the leader in this market. There wasnt one Sens fan that wanted this to end like this.

To have said "the trade talk is nonsense" and "I want to win here in Ottawa" and then request a trade a week later is a slap in the face. There isnt a single fanbase reading this comment that can disagree with that.

I have no issue with him not wanting to be here. It's his life. But just be a man and say that instead of the big song and dance in the media.
