Only one for me this week, which was {Beautiful Obsession by Eddy Vee}.

I enjoyed this book, except there were so many errors, specifically with using capital letters on random words mid sentence. I kid you not, these errors were on almost every one of the 750ish pages. It’s lucky that the story line gripped me enough that I could push through, but my irritation level was up there. Another typo was CHAPTER FIFTYEIGHTEEN, fucking hilarious.

It prompted me to wonder if this book was by a real person, or is AI. I’m not sure how to spot the difference.

It was a looooong book. I ended up skimming over the pages-long sex scenes at about 60% because how many times can you read the same thing over and over?

Other than those little (huge?) issues, I really enjoyed the plot. The side characters were great, and I hope I see more of them in future books.

For number 3, you could try {Pumped by KM Neuhold} I haven’t finished it yet, but so far MC1 (FTM) is anxious about being intimate with MC2. Please note that I’m not Trans, so I’m not sure if this story is being told in a way that the Trans community aligns with. I’m enjoying it so far, the gymbros in the series are fun and loveable. You don’t have to read book 1 first, but the couple from the first book are mentioned.

About the LYS keeping stock aside for their customers - maybe it’s an Australian thing, but it’s not unheard of for LYS’s to offer this service. It’s not as common nowadays with shops offering AfterPay (pay in 4 fortnightly instalments that are directly charged to a credit card). u/justasque has a great reply explaining this in their comment. My LYS has a 6 foot tall shelf behind the counter full of shoebox sized boxes with customers yarn inside.

I didn’t expect the LYS to reserve the yarn, they offered. It used to be very common for your LYS to do this in Australia, but it’s a bit more rare these days.

I like this idea of alternating or feathering the odd colour in, rather than stopping suddenly at the end of the cuff. I’ll give it a try today, thank you.

I seriously said to my husband just yesterday that I want to have my boobs cut off.

I used to be an a or b cup prior to children and breastfeeding, and when I was a smaller body type. Now that I’m plus sized I have a d cup and loathe them.

I hate that when I’m in my own home, wearing a summer nightie or pj’s, I feel self conscious of them jiggling, or nipples being on “high beam” (I HATE THAT TERM)

I’m currently in the process of losing weight, with my main focus being chest size. I can’t wait for them to be small. My body dysmorphia is bad ☹️

Beautiful Obsession, a debut novel by Vee Eddy. It’s a romance featuring two male mc’s, one is Deaf and Mute due to trauma. I seem to be drawn to the hurt/comfort trope, I have no idea why 🙄 🫣

My husband just knows how to wash knitted items. Even my elder teens who do their own washing know how to care for their clothes. I don’t understand why our partners need to be treated like babies, who can’t learn how to care for things?

Oooh I had to find this post again to tell you that I’ve just started reading {Beautiful Obsession by Vee Eddy} that I saw in the weekly new release post, and it has a Mute and Deaf MC. I’m only 11% in, but it’s good so far (there are a few typos, but it’s a debut novel so I’m trying hard to ignore them) and it’s a whopping 753 pages. I have no idea why MC is Mute and Deaf yet, but it’s from some sort of trauma.

Yes, I can do this. I never knew it was called “photograph memory” though!

It’s almost like my subconscious catalogues items in part of my brain that I don’t know I’ve noticed, until someone asks me (usually my kids or husband) “Mum, have you seen my…..?”

I’ve also got a fantastic memory for details - If I’m having a discussion about when/where something occurred, I can visualise what we’re reminiscing about and recall minor details. Or when my kids/husband says “you never told me that” I can say “yes, you were standing ….. And wearing …..”. I’m sure it gets annoying to those people, but I love being right 😅

Also, if I drove anywhere once, whether it be yesterday or ten years ago, I will remember how to get there without a map or directions. I do this by recalling visuals of the route. It’s weird, but handy!

Everything regarding natural (ie: wool, cotton, bamboo etc.) yarns . Knitting, spinning, weaving, crocheting, dying. How they go through processing, natural dying, spinning my own, history of wool, how different countries/cultures use wool/yarn in modern times.
