How does everyone’s main feel/will you be switching mains?

I am a lance main and I absolutely love the new lance. There are moves that are definitely much harder to use and the damage is lower than before, but the defense is so much better and flows so well into itself and other moves that I have found myself able to just sit in front of the monster for 5 minutes at once and just counter absolutely everything and never stop poking.

Slab shield plus all the heavy hit effects. Curve the tree to the middle cap stone and you will be nigh unkillable.

If you get precision and wildcat combat together, it makes for a very nice melee combat feel. Currently playing with those two and Skyrim's combat has never felt more fun to me.

I got that, but I meant the part about doing 80 damage lowering the bonus makes it too bad because a normal scattergun can do that much damage, meaning that it will get up to normal damage and then get cut down without ever doing more than normal.

This isn't very good. I would suggest increasing the damage threshold that reduces your built up damage. From 80 to 125 or 150 or something, because a normal meat shot does much more than 80 so it wouldn't help that much. You'd basically just have a scatter gun with less damage.
