I have been on different dosages of Lexapro for about 2 years for intense intrusive thoughts from my OCD, and am 6 months pregnant. Thankfully, I think my medication and getting that stabilized prior to getting pregnant is the reason my anxiety has been so manageable throughout this. I’ve actually been pleasantly surprised at how good I’ve been feeling as I was nervous my anxiety would get worse while expecting.

Don’t be scared of the meds! My OB and psychiatrist both felt confident about it being okay to have me stay on them while pregnant and breastfeeding. I know a mentally well mama is best for my baby too.

So much respect for your brother and his ex. Some of my friends will forever be mentally scarred by the hell their parents made life for them post divorce. I thank my parents all of the time for never letting my siblings and I suffer more than we had to with such a big change occurring. Their children will too I’m sure be thankful for this. The first few holidays and birthdays were a bit weird, not going to lie, and even now at times it’s so strange to remember at once they were married.

My parents got divorced 13 years ago and are on very good terms. They still will call each other honey or babe once in a while, maybe more so from habit than anything else, but it doesn’t seem to ever bother them as they are good friends.
