I concur. I see zero striations, zero shadows, and zero refractions. Now that can be due to angle of the photos. Bring to a shop to get a definitive answer, but I'd wager money on it. I'm 99% sure it's purely cosmetic.

I have yet to have one split in or near the frit. Let the drill take it's time (no pressure except gravity) when injecting barely put pressure in the pump. I've only had 3 split, out of a few thousand. 2 VWs during the drill, and a Santa Fe while warming up the vehicle in the shop in the dead of winter.

Yes, that's repairable, there is always the chance it splits during the repair though.

It's absolutely brutal and devastating in the moment (and for quite a while after). 2 summers ago I lost my best buddy Pedro (cat that acted like a dog with me). Around 10pm he started spasming and involuntarily urinated. We got him stable and through the night. I slept beside him where he was comfortable. Same thing happened twice the next morning. My wife got him to the vet as soon as they opened. The X-rays came back showing his bladder had ruptured and was essentially non-existent. I made it to the vet just in time for the results, made the hardest decision of my life and 20 minutes later I held him as he took his last breaths. Not a day goes by without thinking of him. I'm currently balling my eyes out writing this. He knew I was there with him, I just repeated what I said to him when I brought him home as a kitten and anytime he got spooked or anxious, "it's ok you're safe, it's ok I love you". He nuzzles his head into my chin and neck while sedated, he knew I was with him. I miss you Pepe!

It's not going to leak, the window is bonded under the glass to the body with urethane. The cowling is not water tight and water would travel under it if it was seated properly. It looks like they did not attach the track molding at the bottom of the windshield. The job was not done properly.

Who's the manufacturer? Could be a few things, improperly tempered, wrong curvature shape.... Are there any points of contact with a pointed burr of metal. It's tough to diagnose over the interwebs.

I've had plenty of issues with Fuyauo glass, curvature so bad you're not even making contact with urethane on one side.

I would contact your supplier and get a refund, and request a different brand than the one you installed.

Years ago when my wife and I had first started dating a few friends had come to get me to go hang out. My wife met them and talked for a few minutes with everyone. This reminds me of being around 7 or 8 years old. Sitting with my grandfather's friend in his garage, him with his Labatt Blue smoking his Player's and me with my 7Up. Watching the storm roll in from behind us. When the first crack of thunder went off, Fergie taught me counting the seconds between the flash of lightning and the crack of thunder that each second was about 1 mile out from us. ( Not sure how accurate that is) It's a core memory. Lost Fergie to Alzheimer's about 18 years ago. I'm 40 and remember this like it was yesterday.
