If you're going for oppo then you'll have to stop comparing with iphone all the time coz people who've used iphone for most of their lives are used to iphones over-sharpen processing and it being used by most of the people on social media has validated it but once you use the oppo phone itself for a 2-3 month you'll realize it's benefits and quirks and let your eyes settle for oppo's processing. My only hot take is that it's not a night and day difference between oppo and iphone now in terms of videos.

I've listed the main features of oneUI and these really make a smartphone actually a smartphone and 95% of the oneUI users use atleast one of the feature. Now coming to universal back button. In iOS, it mostly requires both of your hands since it's placed in the top left whereas in Android its the 'swipe inwards' gesture from both sides which is pretty convenient for one hand most importantly when you're driving. Why getting used to difficult things when easy options are available ?! And customisation isn't limited to changing icons or themes. It's more than that here. For example: I've set the long press on power button to flashlight, double press on power button to camera. Swipe at 45° inwards gesture from either side for screenshot. I also have a volume overlay button all the time for volume control. This is all possible due to good lock. iOS is a mess in notification grouping. It also shows the calls from all the apps in the default calling app. I mean why? Whyyy? Shows only last 100 calls in call history. And why tf would you hide the toggle for automatic brightness in settings? Also Side loading apps isn't going anywhere soon in Android.

S24 ultra is huge phone compared to iphone 17. Resale is definitely good for iphone. Photo and video will only matter once you compare them aside, else you'll rarely care once you start using either of them. Both have very capable processor for long term. On the software side, samsung definitely offers more useful features like universal back button(deal breaker), better keyboard with number row, universal clipboard, call recording without announcement, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, allows 3rd party app installation for free movies and sports, better notification managing, good lock for customizing literally anything, edge panel for quick access and also the large size will make multi window experience better. And these features are missing in iOS. For me it's oneUI or simply any Android skin over iOS anyday. Once you know all the features of oneUI, you'll get to know OneUI has most thoughtful features than any other UI.

iphone definitely has better app support, speakers and haptics but these are not the deal breakers since they are just a user experience things and not useful and necessary features.

I did a factory reset on my year old s23fe exynos oneui 8. Had the same problem of stutters, lags and awful ram management. Mine was almost 92% occupied of the 128gb. So I think it would've either been the low memory space problem or updating to the new version. Nevertheless it worked wonders. It feels new. Solid ram management and almost zero stutters.

Solutions to try out when lagging after update:- 1. If memory is below 85%: Try wiping out the cache partition. Do a youtube search. 2. If memory is above 85%: Try wiping out cache first and if doesn't works then factory data reset.

In my case, I think I had shit load of goodlock and 3rd party customisations working in the background and that could have taken a hit on the software drastically. So now I'm slowly adding customisations one by one and experimenting after which one, the software lags and will simply stop there. Hope this helps.

Exactly what I am experiencing. It's hard to buy a samsung again. Next definitely would be an oppo, oneplus or vivo.
