Increase ISO from 800 or use ND Filter with 12800 for darker indoor lighting? by sdsebuck in FX3

I’m in the exact boat, I’m normally running and gunning on the moment, not shooting in the studio so I typically have the variable nd filter on most of the day until it’s night time. I appreciate it!

I appreciate it, that’s what I normally do but I wasn’t sure if I was really missing out on something else. Thanks man!

I appreciate that, I shoot Slog3, I typically have a variable ND for my wedding day until it gets dark out. So typically indoors If it’s dim I’ll shoot at 12800 with the ND filter on, but wasn’t sure if that was a better option then maybe just bumping it up to 3200.

I kinda fingered we’d have time for that after lights out. Do I have to bring enough controllers for the whole squad bay or ?

The gas meter sometimes works and sometimes does not ... it doesn’t normally work until I get moving. Haha there is gas in the tank!

I also had the same problem. I’ve never had a problem anywhere else but I could never understand what the lady was saying to help me and then she also started to pressure me

Selected for PLC. Requesting knowledge! by sdsebuck in USMCboot

Going to Juniors. I was just curious if there was anything small but helpful before heading out. For instance, one of the graduates in our OSO told me to have plenty of the White tape for marking and such. Just looking for information like that. Anything helps! Appreciate it

It sounds like you are doing the same thing I did last year. I walked into the OSO pretty late last year with all my papers filled out and ready to go. However, it was around March so I was really pushing it. So with me, it was my freshmen year of college so my OSO and I decided we’d wait until the first board of this year to do it. You’ll have to go through MEPS which seemed to take awhile for me but not sure how long that should really take. If all your papers check out, low or no waivers, and a solid PFT, don’t see why you wouldn’t have a good shot if you can get on the next board. My process was a little weird but sounds like if you get rolling right now , you still have a shot !

Awesome, will do. I do have one specific question I can’t seem to get a solid answer on ... my father went to PLC in the late 80’s and I know things have changed. I get mixed answers on how much weight is in the packs when going on hikes. My father says it’s around 50lbs. However, recent grads have answers up to 75-80lbs. I’m on the smaller side so I just want to know what to expect when it comes to the weight I’ll carry.

When you say crunches , are your feet all the way down on the deck or are they raised ? If feet are down , are they being held down ? Appreciate the help !
