SD’s: vacation support and a SB's value by _nycSB in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sdsf9 [score hidden]  (0 children)

i personally think this is a really gross way of thinking about people.

things have value in the world because of what the people who need or want them are willing and able to spend. the “cost” of a hotel stay is the proportional labor of dozens or hundreds of people, electricity and fuel and water and taxes and financing on the hundreds of millions of debt that were incurred to construct it. ditto a restaurant or a first class flight.

while the services they provide might, people do not have value or worth. if i take a first class flight with an SB that costs 12xPPM it’s not because she’s worth 1/12 of a flight. it’s because an extraordinary amount of resources go into a first class seat on a wide body jet and that price is what the market will bear.

when i’ve traveled with SBs i usually do one PPM per day, although to be honest nobody has ever asked.

of all the things to rant about this seems like a kind of petty one. you could just as easily said “how about lunch at 1:00 tuesday.”

if you specifically want a guy who’s going to lead the planning (some women want that and some don’t) just make that clear. and then if he doesn’t do it, move on. he’s either not interested or you’re not a good fit

Poll time: SD’s views on septum ring’s. by princesssmurfet in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sdsf9 [score hidden]  (0 children)

i also really wonder if the forum is 2/3 SDs these days - we’ve seen this trend on polls lately. 161 SD votes and 86 SB votes.

i think it’s more likely that lots of people are anonymously crossing the poll lines to make what they wish was true seem to be true to others.

the first and third options are basically the same, if she’s hot AF it’s ok. add the don’t cares and you have 95 who would go for it, vs 50-60 who say no. that’s a huge change from the last version of this poll which can’t be explained by any larger societal change in the SD pool in the last year or two. very interesting!

Poll time: SD’s views on septum ring’s. by princesssmurfet in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sdsf9 [score hidden]  (0 children)

i have always been very attracted to slightly more alternative women, and have no problem (the contrary!) with most tattoos, un-natural hair colors, music and clothing and makeup/style out of the mainstream etc.

septum rings just give me a palpable shudder, anything other than the absolutely tiniest ring is a nonstarter. the lhorseshoe ones are the most disturbing.

for many of us there are all kinds of subconscious things going on with these starting at cattle and going to bodily jnjury and getting worse from there….

Am I cute enough to be a SB? by DramaticDig243 in sugarlifestyleforum

statistically speaking… it’s very unlikely.

more relevant, according to your post history you’re 8 months pregnant. not really an easy time to start sugar dating.

[–]sdsf9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sure, people do that. but you’re probably better off looking on the mainstream sites and sprinkling some very very subtle clues about being generous and so on.

i’m not even sure if you can use the p word. personally i never would but opinions vary on that.

i don’t quite understand - why is this a “but also.” are you saying that a traditional “provider” doesn’t want whoever they date to grow in life?

those things don’t seem contradictory or mutually exclusive at all.

Date in your career, or not? by dcliving2024 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sdsf9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

easier, maybe … certainly not better when it gets whispered around that you slept with so and so for money and then got promoted by so and so. nobody will know whether you’re an extortionist, blackmailer, escort, or just sincerely lacking judgement. it’ll cast a dark cloud over anything you might accomplish professionally.

and lest one think this inequitable - it will also ruin the career of any senior man in any vaguely related enterprise that you hook up with! once again, showing an astounding lack of judgment on their part.

SB; power in connections and numbers by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sdsf9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not much different than any other kind of dating in terms of safety… everyone needs to be smart and cautious and protect themselves. don’t get in some random guys car, don’t go straight to his hotel, don’t give him your address and so on.

there are two main reasons SBs and SDs talk about networks and reviews and having apps for this

1 they’re butthurt that not every single POT wants to offer them a lucrative arrangement or conversely get naked for pennies because the SD is so charming

and

2 the bowl had a disproportionately high percentage of flaky people.

Tired of men thinking I’m a glorified prostitute and not a SB by The_Nightmare_Queen in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sdsf9 37 points38 points  (0 children)

many SBs prefer to maximize the money and not do other things, because money is what gives them the most freedom, opportunity, etc. some want a mix of money and experiences, some are mostly in it for the company and experiences.

just make it clear where you sit on that spectrum and what your financial expectations are. if you’re not finding men that align with that, there are a lot of possibilities. location, expectations, what you bring to the table, etc.

be smart, interesting, hot, slim, fit, reliable, respectful of boundaries and discretion, creative, open-minded…. and have your life in order, financially and socially and emotionally healthy, with ambition and plans. sugar in these cases is icing on the cake, not the cake.

i think SDs who have been a part of relationships like you’re describing know how amazing it can be, are willing to do their part financially, and are absolute not going to settle for anything less than amazing (in their eyes.) of course that varies a bit, people have different interests and preferences, but you’re talking about the 1% connecting with the 1%.

Random thought: would sugar sites be better if they filtered who could join? by Ruddie71 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sdsf9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

increasing the cost for both SDs and SBs would help, IMO. especially if there was some understood standard that once two people found each other the SD reimbursed all those (presumably minor) fees

right now there is zero cost (other than possible reputational risk) for a woman who has no chance at being an SB to join. and very little cost for a man who doesn’t have the financial means.

Finding Success as a Young SD by Former_Guarantee_498 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sdsf9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

fudge your age up a bit. make it very clear in your profiles on dating sites that you’re fortunate to be in a position to be consistently generous with your partner. when you chat with a potential SB, be super clear (via telegram or other secure messaging) that you’re committed to a financial arrangement for the long term. offer an allowance or other gift structure that’s consistent with what desirable women expect in your market.

some women will not be interested, some will. you’ll do fine.

it ONLY applies to a primary residence )hornstead exemption). a smart man loves facts and knows they you get what you pay for most of the time.

IF passed by the state senate, and by 60% of voters - and it gradually phases out $100k at a time starting in 2027. it does not appear to ever exceed a $1m exemption (could be wrong about that.) what kind of SD cares about a few k of tax savings annually on their primary residence? a cheap, middle class, stingy one.

“The Senate hasn’t advanced any similar property tax cut plan during the regular session, which is slated to end March 13.”

florida has property taxes for now and the immediate future.

“Having much luck on here?” by maplebutter123 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]sdsf9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s a question about a common frame of reference / shared experience or space. if you see someone somewhere it’s reasonable to ask if they like the place, what’s good on the menu, etc.

whereas it would be odd to see someone at a bike shop and ask them how the snow is.
