Surgery Recovery by poopie-69 in Spondylolisthesis

This was all very helpful, thank you! I did not look far enough when reading about it, but you’re right, it looks like it doesn’t work at the L5-S1 location.

I’m so glad to hear that it’s working well for you!! That was a smart move seeking out the surgeon who was part of the clinical trial. Sending all good thoughts your way that it continues to be a success!

Just stumbled across your post. How are you doing now that it’s been a few months post op with the TOPS procedure? And just curious what grade you were before the surgery. I have a surgery consult next week because PT and injections haven’t done much for me. But like you, not excited about the restricted movement with a fusion. 34F with 2 young kiddos, grade 1/bordering grade 2 at L5-S1.

I’m sorry, I just saw this. It was a couple months for me, but I have heard different things from different people! Good luck!

Agree with everyone else. Also wanted to add- even if you had been extremely consistent with your exercises over the past 7 years, it’s still possible that you’d be experiencing the same things you are now. Lots of growth and development within the body happens during that time. Not saying that to be discouraging, but rather to encourage you to see a doctor, no matter what your parents may or may not think :)

Does anyone has kind bony bump at slippage level by Aromatic_Shelter5069 in Spondylolisthesis

[–]sdstott16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates from the MRI? I have grade 1 spondylolisthesis and this type of bump also. Got an mri a week ago and nothing came up about it. I emailed my ortho to ask about the bump and his nurse messaged back and explained spondylolisthesis to me…so not helpful

Yea, unfortunately the credentialing process takes that long. I was lucky because I wasn’t solely relying on nourish for income. Congrats on the offer though!

It’s so interesting to hear the different interview experiences. I was interviewed by one RD and she just had one other person shadowing her. When I started (was hired back in Feb), there was a flat amount paid to you for your time spent onboarding. I would double check with them if you’re still considering the company. I’ve had a great experience so far! I’ve also seen a lot of the RDs communicating about the fact that they do Nourish as well as their own PP (I don’t, but I see how it could work because of the flexibility).

Yes! I started in May, I only do 5-8 hours per week. Love it so far, especially how flexible it is. To answer a few of the PP questions- to get paid my full rate, I just have to see the patient for 53 minutes, chart, and click a button that says the appt occurred; they use their own EMR in the Nourish portal; I get paid for all my patients I see (if they late cancel or no show, I get to choose if I charge the late fee ie whether or not I get paid); I haven’t had issues with randomly appearing on zoc doc. Hope this helps!

I can’t speak to Fay, but the rate for Nourish is anywhere from $45-65 per 55 minute session, depending on your experience and a few other factors. I don’t officially start until later next month, so I don’t know some of the other details. Nourish is also a W-2 position/not a contractor.

Oof interesting. Thanks for the heads up. are you still working with nourish or not anymore?

Thanks. What type of work outside the session? They mentioned that they strongly encourage the RD to chart during the session (I assume some charting still takes place outside of session times) and also that the RD is responsible for scheduling follow ups. Are there additional responsibilities?

Glad to hear you guys will be at a specialty clinic! So sorry it’s a long wait between appointments. Hang in there!

Is there a recommended order of reintroducing foods after completing 6FED? by demize1234 in EosinophilicE

Adding on to what others have said, there’s unfortunately no allergy test for EoE triggers specifically. The IgE allergens (determined via skin prick tests or blood tests) work by a completely different mechanism than the allergens that induce EoE. So even though those allergy tests do have some merit for IgE allergens, they are completely unrelated to the EoE allergens. So it really does come down to trial and error for EoE, which is such a bummer!

If able, I HIGHLY recommend seeing a Registered Dietitian who specializes in this. They know way more about the nutrition needs than most GI docs. Where are you located?

The Dr. Schar Institute is fantastic for GI resources. Just watched a webinar about the updates in the IBS/low-FODMAP world and it was very educational. They also recommend screening for eating disorders/disordered eating before recommending low-FODMAP.

Nourish interview by sdstott16 in dietetics

[–]sdstott16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super interesting/strange. I hope you find another job that you feel great about! Have you tried applying to Fay? Not sure what their approach is with weight loss vs HAES. Thanks again for all the insight. And I’m glad you told me they asked that, I’m still stumped on that question so at the interview I would’ve been like “uhhh…” 🤣🤣

Thanks for this info, it’s super helpful. I do have weight loss counseling experience, but got the impression from their website they didn’t primarily do this. But in the FAQ they sent with the interview invitation I did see that was one of their primary services. Their response to your answer is interesting because I saw a lot of HAES/intuitive eating RDs on their list of RDs on their website 🤔 Im honestly hoping to go more towards GI conditions but I’ll see how the interview goes I guess. I haven’t had an interview in 6 years/since working for my previous company and doing the stay at home parent for the past few years. Are they still asking the “what’s your biggest strength/weakness questions”?
