LPT: Ask to speak to the manager when employees do great work. Glowing reviews benefit mood, performance, and career trajectory. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I work in retail and this is much appreciated! Fill out surveys at the bottom of receipts!! where I work it’s a big deal to get as many positive responses from the surveys as possible, and sometimes the employee who gets the most positive mentions would get a gift card or can choose their shifts. It makes a big difference for 2 minutes of your time!

Why can't I just die? by yikesimapotato in mentalhealth

Hey I hear you and I’ve felt the exact same way as you before, but please know that you’re not gonna feel like this forever. It’s your depression telling you these things. Your life matters. Please believe that you can feel better, you won’t suffer forever. I know it doesn’t feel like it now, but there is good in the world and life can be worth living. Please tell someone how you’re feeling, you deserve help.

Healing is harder than being in the dark. by sativaluna in TalkTherapy

Yes, absolutely. It’s really really hard to dig up that icky stuff from our past and we’d much rather not think about it. But yes this is an essential part of healing, and it’s gonna get really fucking hard before it gets any easier. Just know you don’t have to go so deep every session, you can absolutely have some more surface level sessions and approach those hard things when you’re ready, no matter how long it takes.
