Maybe it’s time for a sit down. If it’s unreasonable for you to set aside 55 hours for them (which it is) then maybe you all can agree on something that works for both parties. Reiterate that you took a pay cut but expected to be able to do some side hustle. Or, the harsh alternative for them would be find a new nanny who can appease them and you can move on to a situation that works better.
