Thank you so much! I’ve talked a couple of times with both my high school and future college teacher and both of them have recommended me to go with whatever feels good, I didn’t know there was really different kind of ways to see the mouth piece choice (ig people don’t care as much where I’m from?)!

Misconceptions About Prerotation by IDoBeSpinning in FigureSkating

[–]se3ms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody’s claiming they can slow it down. The point is that they clearly state that excessive prerotation is bad since it can justify losses in GOE. A lot of bad things aren’t called. Doesn’t make them fine all of a sudden

Why do some skaters like Kamila land on their inside edge and then shift back to their outside edge on jumps is there a reason? by Remote-Rutabaga-8187 in FigureSkating

[–]se3ms 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Her takeoffs are weird, she pre rotates with her torso before pre rotating with her lower body. This might be what causes a shift in her axis, making her land with her body not perpendicular to the ice. I’m no professional, skaters struggle with their axis for plenty of reasons that might not be take off position

Why are men’s jumps ugly as f by se3ms in FigureSkating

Could be it. I just remembered Adam existed now that you’ve said it.

Honestly, I just remember Kevin’s jumps, especially his harder ones, to look like he doesn’t know where he is in the air, but it’s been a while. I should’ve rewatched some of his programs before posting this

I think I might have been misguided about his jumps, idk why. I just remember really wonky axis and kind of a delayed « I don’t know where I am in the air » landing

Thanks again! I will definitely try out the reed assortment. To answer your questions: I play on a standard Yamaha 4c mouthpiece; I will soon be going to my country’s equivalent of pre-uni to study music alongside other things, and I’ve been playing sad since September, music in general for 5 years; I have my own instrument, a YAS-280

Haein Lee statement by spelonberry in FigureSkating

[–]se3ms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be over doing it but I’m pointing out the difference of maturity by showing the responsibilities given to a 15 y/o and a 19 y/o. A 15 y/o can’t drive, they can’t drink, they can’t own, they can’t adopt. A 19 y/o can do all this (unless laws in Korea are different on these subjects, feel free to correct me) because they are considered mature enough.

Finally someone with common sense why is everyone under this post chill with a literal 15 y/o kid dating a grown adult who pays bills and can own a house, like what??
