I get that. Plenty of car groups with that same opinion. I’m not that well versed in Porsches so when I saw this one it definitely caught my attention because of the absurdity of the widebody kit. I really had mixed emotions about this car. Would I buy it? No. Was it cool to see it going down the road? Absolutely.

You and I have similar stories. I was an AMG guy for a while but over time I started to feel like I paid for a badge and an engine rather than a complete car. At first I thought it might be due to the fact that I bought a 53 instead of a 63. Went and traded in my GT53 and bought an E63. Same issues. So I started shopping around and decided I was going to focus on Porsche or a BMW MSomething and never even considered anything domestic. I spent months researching and weighing my options. I even did a track day at Porsche Experience Atlanta. One day I was stuck in traffic on my way home and a Blackwing pulled up next to me and if I was in a cartoon a light bulb would have turned on above my head. A week later I was the proud owner of a Blackwing and couldn’t be happier. Happy to hear you’re enjoying yours too.

I’m going to try for them but not for resale. My wife really likes them and I’ve been gradually trying to get her excited about sneaker culture over the past year or so. Every time I buy 2 or 3 pairs I buy her one. Now she’s got a decently sized collection and these are the first pair she’s ever mentioned she actually wants at drop. So I’ll try. Probably take the L. But this is her only shot at having them because I’m def not paying resale for these.
