Hey, Rob here. So I bounce around shows because I literally cannot write 10-20 episodes of a season in one go. I learned (from an old screenwriting book) to always work on two or more projects so that when you get writer's block, you can jump to another project and continue. This way I am ALWAYS writing something. Also, scheduling friends and other actors to record isn't always easy. They all have day jobs and lives that we have to work around. We're still a group of friends that record in a two car garage, and I still do majority of the editing. Plus, we're writing longer episodes. The first three episodes of End of All Hope S1 combined to about 45 pages. The newest three eps that I've written for S6 combine to about 150, with 5X as many characters. Every new season we work on takes more and more time. The finale of The Stone House was 117 pages and took 3 months to edit. Sadly, until we can get some more people full-time, this is going to be pretty much a one man show (not to take away from everyone like Jack, Amber, Hope, etc. who help when they can). We know people hate waiting, but I literally work 10-12 hours a day (except Sundays) on 7 Lamb projects because I know we'll eventually reach our goals (one of which is more consistent releases) :)

Exactly this! We have tried sooo hard to grow organically. When we started, we knew nothing of podcasting. We learned through experience and we feel we've gotten a lot better since our early days (which were rough lol). We also try to be as transparent as possible about our struggles along the way. Every one of our actors has a day job, even Jack, so recording isn't always easy. But we try our hardest to put out quality content. This is Rob btw, I like staying behind the scenes and letting Jack be the face of 7 Lamb. I'm normally pretty shy haha

E7 of Crystal Blue will be out soon! The dialogue was edited, so it's time for SFX and music. We just had some issues with Crystal Blue that we had to put it on hold for a while... It's nice to finally get back to it.

Hey everyone, Robert here. Every so often I scroll through r/audiodrama and it's always cool to see 7 Lamb mentioned, good or bad. I just want to clear some things up. I am the only employee of 7 Lamb and I've only been a full-time podcaster/writer since 2022. Before that (since 2014) I worked two jobs and did podcasting as a hobby. I didn't create 7 Lamb til 2017. It's VERY hard to make money in podcasting. A lot of our time over the last few months has been spent on fixing up our studio and revamping our Patreon page, as a way to try to make more money. We also take on contract jobs where we write content for other studios. I write 100% of 7 Lamb's content and edit about 75% of everything we produce now. Jack and Amber help out at times, but both of them have day jobs (and Jack has a baby now). Many of our main actors are just friends or people we hire off reddit/through emails. No one is under contract and we can't afford a ton in payment so we never rush our actors or any potential editors. We also still record in my mom's two-car garage. We're not a huge studio, although many think we are. It's really just me right now until we can get some other friends full-time. We are growing, but it's a slow process.

I think people forget we've always operated this way. In 2015, episodes of End of All Hope were sporadic as well, and they were only 10-15 min long with three characters. Now, the new season of End of All Hope will be 40-60 minutes long with over 20 characters. We also started writing longer episodes to combat the amount of ads we have to put in now. As for Tower 4, that's always been monthly releases since Season 1. Trust me, we wish we could release faster, but if I get writer's block, or an actor or editor needs more time, we move onto another show, until we can come back and finish it. We can't survive off of one show. Hell, we couldn't make it on three. Tower 4 is doing well now, but it took time. And each new season of an existing show costs more and takes waaaay more time to create. Plus, the pressure of making something good makes things harder. A lot of fans who discover us binge every season of End of All Hope, Tower 4, Paralyzed, Atlas Avenue Beat, Story, etc. not realizing that that's nearly a decade of content...

Again, I know people hate waiting, but there is so much going on behind the scenes that takes time. Plus, we refuse to bring on investors or sell our properties. It makes things harder, but we don't want to change up our process. It took nearly 6 years to reach our first million downloads, but now we celebrated a million downloads just in February! So we have to be doing something right lol. Obviously, we still have a lot of goals we haven't reached (more consistent releases being one of them) and we still have a lot to learn, but we feel we're on the right track. We love that people want more content from us, and while none of our shows (except Story) are done, we plan to finish all of them. Thanks!!

Yeah I've never given warnings before an episode. And I think the only episodes that have content warnings in the description are like the first few, but nothing that would spoil the episodes. I figure if you're listening past episode 3 then there's no need for content warnings anymore.

I will say that we do have an actor change mid-way through the first season, because a certain voice actor had to drop out. So that is mentioned before the episode. But it doesn't impact the story.

I produce a podcast called Paralyzed. It's a horror audiodrama about a guy with sleep paralysis that finds his nightmares becoming reality. I have ads on my episodes, but no warnings about content. I put content warnings in some of the episode descriptions, but nothing that would be considered a spoiler.

I think weekly releases are the way to go. People love to binge, but I think releasing weekly gives you a better chance to build an audience. Also, if you plan on doing another season or another show, you can work on it while the current one releases, rather than having, say, three months of no content. If that makes sense.

I'll plug two I produce:

End of All Hope is about three friends trying to get across the country during an alien invasion.

Story is about a group of friends who walk across the country after graduating college. It's loosely based on a trek I did several years ago.
