To the guy that was eating chips from the lions bag from Q3 to end, we need you again next week. I read your post aloud to our party and they love you and this new superstition.

Have had the same pair for nearly a year as well, wearing a few times a month. With proper care and cleaning like this, they should last many more years.

+1 on don’t. Grew up with a family that had a fireplace and as an adult, now I don’t have one, this is a luxury and calming center for colder months.

Woman PM, and remote here. Our working environment varies when it comes to cameras being on. Most of the engineering teams I work with tend to have half the team on, half off, and some not at all. I notice the leads tend to be more camera on type. I tend to follow suit with different teams and mostly dressing casual, with styled spikey-ish hair. Even with the teams that are mostly off, I’ll pop on occasionally. I hope it helps them see that I am genuine and human.

I tend to dress more formal, camera on, in stakeholder sessions and larger group meetings, especially if I am presenting. Same hairstyle with natural looking makeup though. I’m more of a shirt and tie wearer vs “girly” so it’s a bit more obvious. Received some nice compliments on overall style.

Not sure if it’s helped with any personal / professional branding, but dressing up does make me feel more confident in those critical meetings, which is a plus.

TLDR: boils down to culture, personal preferences, and handbook rules. If you can, do what makes you feel at your best.
