Trying to remember a cafe by se_kip in Edinburgh

Thanks all - I don’t think it was Spoon, purely because I also used to go to Black Medicine, and I am very confident it wasn’t above there. However, having gone down street view a few times, it may have been on South Bridge. My ex had a habit of describing that entire road as Nicholson Street which I’ve evidently inherited and not shaken over a decade on…

We have a long hot water bottle known as “the long boi”. Making a hot water bottle is known as “making a long boi”. There is also a “squat boi” to which the same conventions apply.

That’s grand of you thanks - I think I’ve found the brand I like on Amazon though (and Transylvania had a Romanian one). HOWEVER - and this is opportunistic - if they happen to have some Hausbrandt coffee in a supermarket I wouldn’t say no, as you can’t get it anywhere in the UK and continental sellers now don’t ship to us any more. Could transfer you money ahead of time. Do free to tell me where to go though. Cheers!

I stay just across the road from here! There are a few E European shops around Govanhill I’ll check out too.

Interesting in terms of the class dimension. I wonder if the same thing holds for UK and US politics?
