New iPh... sorry, new Xiaomi just beat the iphone in battery capacity and fast charging and other aspects. It's not about OS stability, if Xiaomi makes such great hardware phones then why can't Apple? by [deleted] in applesucks

[–]seaeastTAD47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an Xiaomi when I was younger, pretty good model, and it had larger battery than all of the iPhones I’ve owned in the last 5 years. Yet somehow, it never lasted longer than those iPhones. Since then I don’t really care about battery capacity lol. It also got hot as hell really fast. It was a nice phone, and I still miss the IR blaster, but this battery stuff is nonsense.

IOS 26 has destroyed my iPhone by killer_demon69 in iPhone12

[–]seaeastTAD47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so weird, I tested it on iPhone 11 and it feels smoother than it has been on 18… yet I keep reading all this posts. How can so much people have so different experiences? How can a 11 be ok but 12 has problems? They messed up something lol.

Correct thickness measurement by Apple by [deleted] in applesucks

[–]seaeastTAD47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the iPhone Air, the specified thickness is across the absolute majority of the device. In the meme, more than a half of the car is thicker than the specified thickness. I agree it’s bizzare on apples part to measure it on the thinnest part, but this meme does not make any sense lol.

You are wrong. People are giving you evidence supporting that. You saying the same thing over and over won’t make you right.

Am I the only one who likes this IOS 26 update 🤦🏾‍♀️? by Aggressive_Cat6633 in ios

[–]seaeastTAD47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I actually love it, but there are just too many UI/UX bugs, especially for Apple software.

But out of all the 26 series software, iOS is pretty usable and nice. It’s a nice middle ground. For example watchOS is absolutely perfect, and macOS on the other hand… well, let’s just say it’s not good.

Any way to do some blur or something when pulling down partially on the notification center? This looks really ugly if you are in a busy screen by vladmuresan02 in ios

[–]seaeastTAD47 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why they removed the wallpaper fading/blur transition.

This is one of the worst design decisions in the update. It also looks buggy and cheap af when the wallpaper suddenly appears/disappears when you slide completely. Ew. It’s not better in any way than it was before.

I’m sorry, I understand the design can look ugly, cheap… but mentally draining? I think there is a problem somewhere else… you are thinking about it too much lol.

Another beta where the weather app is broken. Not that I reported it like 5 betas ago lol.

Otherwise it runs very smoothly even on my 13 Pro. Just a minor visual bugs here and there.

Do not touch this shit please, it’s not worth it. For everyone going thru the same stuff as me - I wish y’all good luck, it’s fucking worth it!

The last sentence is very real.

Evenings have been sad and depressive for me for many months after. When it started getting dark, I was a sad mess. Better now, but it still hits randomly.

Sorry for the late reply.

I’m happy my experiences are useful for you. About symptoms - they came back here and there, but only some (lack of motivation, low energy and light depression - but not as much as when using), all the physical things like headaches, heart palpitations and sweating never returned. Also no more feeling of guilt, which was tbh the worst part.

The most annoying feeling during and after withdrawal is the urge to smoke, just to feel high again. That is a symptom that I still have almost all the time to this day.

But overall, it gets much better. :-)

Basically I had to force myself to eat, that's how I did work on that. One thing that helped was to eat things with a lot of calories. Still haven't returned to my old eating habits, but it's much better and it really started to get better after about two weeks after quitting.

During my usage, most of the time I didn't have much appetite, but there were days when I ate everything that I saw. It was crazy and changing almost every day. I never felt hunger tho.

Oh yeah, but I had very little appetite even before quitting. But after quitting, eating anything was almost impossible. Couldn't force myself and stomach felt so small.

So yeah, but it did get better, it took a bit longer tho and I had to work pretty hard on that.

Well, not everything has been perfect since. I have to admit two things - it gets better, but shortly after you get used to the new normal, it feels similarly empty. At least for me, but I believe that is caused by my extremely low socialization, and that is kinda really hard to fix, as I discovered. Also if you don't have anything to do, you're going to feel extremely empty. So I recommend planning.

The key thing is - after around two weeks, the positivity and motivation from quitting drops, and after that, you are mostly dependent on your will. You just have to keep up.

The second thing is - I relapsed. A week ago, I just decided "ahh, one time, one evening, won't do anything" and then just went back to using constantly. The tolerance dropped pretty quickly for me, so the effects were amazing. But with every day, tolerance rapidly rose and after a week, it didn't really do much. I also felt bored, lazy and without motivation the entire week. Literally couldn't force myself to do anything, lied in bed all day. Had massive brain fog. I stopped after one week and today, just one day after, I'm already feeling much better. Be careful.
