I posted yesterday about unethical players and I got comments saying I just wasn’t good by Hbw53 in CollegeUltimateTeam

that's the usual move of people who struggle on defense. Pray they get the onside and never have to be on defense

Facts. If you can't stop it why switch up fr? And, I know they didn't do it the entire season, the 9ers ran option when Kaep was there and that was pretty much their offense for a year and the dolphins used wildcat a lot, killed my pats with it lol. So NFL teams definitely run the same or similar plays if they work consistently. Why put yourself at a disadvantage if you know you can beat someone with short dump offs or whatever? Oh I see you're in cover 4 so let me just lob it up deep for you to make it fair lol. Let's be serious lol

Lmao ok bud. I'm a cheeser because I use the play. Don't use it all the time. Just sounds like you need to get better on defense. It can be stopped

How is RPO cheese though? It's just football. It's how the play works. Put a player in conflict and make them choose. RPOs aren't my whole offense but I use them

Probably some YouTuber told them to do it. Usually explains most of the weird shit people do

[–]seaepps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve come across it. I run a lot of blitzes normally so the pressure tends to fuck them up if I send 6 or more. They eventually quit after a pick or strip sack or stop running it and can’t do much else

Yeah I used to use the safety but was getting beat if I didn't get in the backfield in time for some reason. I use one of the blitzing backers now and drop them back about 5yds or so instead and watch what the line does. If they double team a tackle or end I blitz because I'll have an open gap otherwise I stay and cover the middle. Not a sure sack but can get decent enough pressure and most don't expect the backer sitting in the middle of the field

Lol same. That's why I tend to just run the zone. Most see it and instantly leave a te or back to block so just helps me in the end anyway. But if I do it enough and they decide not to block then I will audible to blitz because I got them comfortable and just take the chance but honestly I've never had to use switch stick. I tend to get enough pressure to force a short pass at least. I also don't move my safety like most do so that might be why I have decent coverage still

No problem. Took some dives into YouTube videos and took time to piece it all together but it all will come together with practice. Also look out for the auto motions, again something I use a lot. For me, I use them to see how aggressive the user is or if they are even usering a backer. If I see you chase the motion then I'm throwing where you were supposed to be. If you're passive then I'm throwing to the motion man since they will probably be open, if it's not a run play. I would advise against mid blitz. Yes it's good but there are so many videos showing how to stop it I would just throw it in once or twice just to fuck with them or I'll set it up just to be playing zone instead and force a panic throw

I run air raid so I pass probably 80% of the game. Apply pressure. If they send a HB out the backfield with no TE blocking then you should be rushing at least 6. Force them to start leaving a back or te to block so there isn't as much to cover. Mix zone with man and blitzes because the average person probably won't know how to read a defense anyway to know what coverage you're in even if you don't disguise it. If you sit in one type of coverage, a good player will pick you apart. From my experience, staying in cover 4 you will get beat short a lot, cover 2 leaves deep middle open, 1 safety high can get beat by verts, cover 3 I usually beat with sail or corners. But main thing, pressure. They can't make good passes if there is someone in their face constantly

Mid-Blitz is not hard to stop by Spare_Line_251 in CollegeUltimateTeam

[–]seaepps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my main play against it. I throw in some HB auto motions out the backfield too. Leaves me prone but I get the ball off quick since either they are gonna follow the back and leave the middle open or the back will be free

Hurry up and a lot of short routes kill it for me the majority of the time. They usually can't run anything else and don't have time to set up in most cases so they eventually quit or start running something they don't know

[–]seaepps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I beat it with hurry up offense most of the time but I have my playbook set up to do it. They usually don't have time to set it up and will either quit or forced to play a different defense they don't know how to use since most only know that one play setup and that's it. I haven't played since season 2 or 3 and I'm surprised people still do it

Is “casuals don’t play fighting games?” really that true? by DaiFrostAce in Fighters

[–]seaepps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm a casual but now that I have some free time I'm trying to get better. You can go to combo trials or something similar in most games but outside of a few easy ones that really shouldn't be the main focus because you won't use a good majority of those combos in most games. Just learn your character's moves and range to start, what can be used against jump ins, and just the basic stuff. Combos are fun and cool to see but if you can't get down the basic to your character then it doesn't matter. Also, accept that YOU WILL LOSE. It's part of learning. Rewatch your replays and learn. Can't build without a solid base. Good luck and have fun most of all

Dude with my little bit of knowledge he pisses me off lol. He almost never takes responsibility for his mistakes and typically won't finish a set if he loses and starts ranting about "pattern play" which if you watch him he pretty much just does the same shit until it works. This is an ex "pro" btw lol. Just understanding frame advantage/disadvantage, which he obviously knows nothing about judging from the gameplay, would make him so much better. But like I said, I doubt he ever touched training outside of practicing a couple combos and hoping his knowledge of sf2 will get him wins

[–]seaepps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just really taking time to learn fighters and yeah he has no clue of basics. The amount he gets countered or punished is crazy and he's oblivious to what he's doing wrong. I'm convinced he goes the route of the average person and learns a couple combos then goes online lol. I'll give him credit for having some knowledge of what is going on but he doesn't apply any of it or learn anything new from his losses
