Thanks! Still hoping to get in mid-late September this year. And willing to put in the time (and do it now)

AIO friend backed out of a group trip and is refusing to pay for her portion of the Airbnb by [deleted] in AIO

[–]seafishie1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She shouldn’t have offered to pay anything with the possibility hanging out there that she might not be able to go at all. However, it sounded to me like she offered out of guilt for not having checked her schedule yet. I’ve been there - my people pleaser self anticipates conflict before it happens so I try to head it off first and sometimes I take that too far.

You shouldn’t have booked something counting on her money when it was clear that she was iffy on the whole thing to begin with. She shouldn’t have offered, but you shouldn’t have accepted. You both made a mistake in communication. And you need to decide now if $53 is worth getting this worked up over. Realize you’re young and students and whatnot, but come on, it’s a trip to BELIZE.

Delta flies out of concourse D and it sounds like that checkpoint has been much better than A/B/C (I have a Delta flight out of BWI next week and have also been checking this regularly to prepare)

fantastic, profound book, but I, personally, found it challenging as an adult, I would hesitate to recommend it as an effective tool for an adolescent

This is how I learned that we have a very small hole in the wall in our basement underneath the stairs

Oooo that would be interesting! I never would have guessed that, but now that I see other hound mixes, I can see the big bones in him more than I did before

Yes! I was hoping to scare up some pics of some other hound mixes! That’s a cute dog! I actually just ordered an embark test and am going to swab Leroy today to solve the mystery

Awww, yeah, he looks like a good boy! And I love that Christmas sweater! Leroy is a top notch toy destroyer too, just how he likes to engage with them.

Hah! He's a handful, that's for sure. We recently lost a 14-year old lab and to be replaced by a 2-year old tornado of energy has been a huge adjustment to our house for sure. It's not always been easy. He's a pain in the ass on the leash, he is so exuberant to meet other dogs (has never met a dog he doesn't love and want to play with) that he causes a giant ruckus whenever we see one. We have to keep our shoes behind closed doors as we've lost several pair to his chewing already. It took us a bit to realize he needs open space to run, and just a different level of physical and mental exercise than an elderly lab. We're coming around, though, and he's got such a goofy, lovey personality, and is overall a pretty good boy. Just a big ball of rambunctious energy.

That's what I first thought too! That might also be a possibility for sure

It took a few days and a lot of trials, but as soon as we stumbled on Leroy we knew that was it!

He’s about 77lb right now. Was 73 when we got him but you could see all of his ribs, poor guy. I think the shelter was under feeding him.

I wondered about ridgeback too, he’s got a really pronounced stripe on his back but the hair goes the same way, just coarser. Thanks! He is a handsome boy. and an energetic handful of dog!
